1/x "Life expectancy" is an ๐๐ฏ๐๐ซ๐๐ ๐, w/a ๐ฐ๐ข๐๐ ๐๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐ซ๐ข๐๐ฎ๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง & measured at various points (birth, age 60, etc.). Survival times are not normally distributed; they follow a Gompertz-like curve (mortality rates rise exponentially with age, w/significant variation).
2/x Even if life expectancy increases by more than one year per year ๐จ๐ง ๐๐ฏ๐๐ซ๐๐ ๐, this doesnโt guarantee LEV for individuals or the population as a whole. Some individuals wonโt experience this benefit due to unequal access, biological variability, other risks.
3/x Mortality rates at advanced ages rise steeply (Gompertz law) - halving mortality at 80 might add only a few years to life expectancy. Interventions must flatten or shift the Gompertz curve, since reducing early or mid-life mortality (e.g. curing cancer) shifts the curve but doesnโt eliminate the steep rise at older ages.
4/x Death rates must decrease ๐๐ซ๐๐ฆ๐๐ญ๐ข๐๐๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฒ ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐จ๐ง๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐ฎ๐จ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฅ๐ฒ ๐๐ญ ๐จ๐ฅ๐๐๐ซ ๐๐ ๐๐ฌ to flatten the Gompertz curve for LEV.
5/x Looking at this, I believe that the current "definition" of LEV is ๐๐๐๐ข๐ฅ๐ and imprecise. It needs to be much more rigorous!
What exactly? I don't know, I'm just an Everyman! The folks specializing in this area need to come up with it!

Time to look up the actual tariffs countries are charging the U. S. This list says "Tariffs Charged to the U. S. Including Currency Manipulation and Trade Barriers." Is this an "official" number or some bogus calculation?
This list says Swiss tariffs are at 61%. However, Switzerland has *zero tariffs* on industrial goods, but huge tariffs on agricultural products. This list shows U. S. exports to Switzerland, looks like it's mostly industrial goods. So, where does the 61% come from?
U.S. exports to Switzerland approximately $32.6 billion, which includes agricultural products around $250 million. So, Switzerland imposes tariffs on a tiny fraction of imports from the U. S. (the agricultural products). Something may face tariffs of 61%, but it is not much!
1/4 Re ๐๐จ๐ฐ ๐๐ฎ๐ง๐ : Cow urine seems to be more likely to be used; however, cow dung too in Ayurveda, either as a stand alone or combined with other cow products - milk, urine, ghee, and curd
Worked on the pond this afternoon. The lily pads had taken over, it was full of algae, some of the stones had fallen in, etc. 'Before' picture attached.
Thinned out the lily pads, fished out the stone and re-edged, added a few floating water hyacinth, cleaned out a ton of algae, refilled the water (it was low due to evaporation), added a Canna Longwood 'Endeavor. ' It looks a lot better!
Picture of what was cleaned out, plus the current crop of lilies!
