EXCLUSIVE: I have been contacted by a source that wishes to remain anonymous, but informed me that staff of the non-profit 'Anti-Recidivism Coalition' (ARC) are offering $500 in exchange for guaranteed votes to current DA George Gascon of Los Angeles.
A.R.C's mission - according to their website - is to "end mass incarceration in California", and is a bridge program for former and current incarcerated people. My source stated staff made it known to former inmates that they owed current DA George Gascon their vote as many of those inmates were released early due to Gascon's prison reform, but were willing to give $500 to EACH voter who showed up with their ballot, voted for Gascon, and allowed the nonprofit to harvest their vote.
I have reached out to A.R.C's media e-mail, but have not received a reply.
This is a developing story and will post updates. If you are part of the program or part of any union with similar incentives for your vote in California, contact me: antcabassa@gmail.com
It’s important to emphasize these are of course just allegations (still no response from the organization), but since this tweet, I have had multiple sources reach out with further information on the non-profit, some law enforcement. (Those details to come)
It is important to note that the non-profit (ARC) does have ties with Gascon - notably so - as they are a program that helps inmates released, many by Gascons progressive policies on prison reform.
In 2020, A.R.C hosted a zoom with newly elected Gascon and had this to say of his recent win:
“The historic changes he is enacting to
LA County's justice system are exciting, bring hope, and raise many questions from our community members on both sides of the walls.”
After his win, they also posted this on their official website:
“This new era of justice aims to focus on public safety, trauma informed care, victim’s needs, enhancing police and community relations, and saving taxpayer money. ARC is excited to work with Los Angeles District Attorney George Gascón to ensure that our justice system is equitable for all.”
Again, not unusual for a non-profit eager to work with a DA with the same justice reform vision.
However, Gascons reform would soon bring him into the crosshairs of the public.
THREAD 🧵 | I am a Los Angeles Parent and Journalist. Almost EVERY time I post videos/news about California parents fighting back, out of state "Conservatives" and "Christians" reply with negative feedback, instead of encouraging.
Here are some things for EVERYONE to consider:
First, let's start with some 'usual suspect' comments we Californians receive when speaking on corruption, school curriculum, and how we are organizing to put an end to it:
- "Just leave, CA is lost! I ran away and love the easy life!"
- "Don't feel bad for you all, you voted for this! You get what you deserve"
- "Now you guys protest? Why didn't you protest for (reason)?
- "Pull your kids out! No sympathy for anyone with kids still in school!"
Most negative/discouraging feedback come from Conservatives/Christians/California Refugees - that is people who uprooted their family from California to "greener pastures".
Realistically, this thread could be about 1,000+ tweets long, but i'll keep it short, so let's get to it.
On Friday Feb 3rd, about 50 train carts became derailed around 9 p.m. causing a huge fire almost immediately. Officials began evacuations nearby ...
East Palestine, OH has about 4, 700 local residents but what the train contained, is what alarmed local officials, and caused Ohio Governor Mike DeWine to issue an urgent evacuation notice on Sunday (2/5) warning of catastrophe and deadly shrapnel for those within 1 mile radius.
Evacuations were ordered immediately, and National Guard was activated to assist with evacuations.
The biggest danger, was what the train cars had inside: hazardous materials, specifically Vinyl Chloride. This is where the chaos truly began.
