On Mexican Flags in Los Angeles and the defense of America — a MUST-READ thread. (1/15) @DHSgov @ICEgov @POTUS @VP @SecDef @SecRubio @TPPF Image

We’ve all seen these images over the past day – rioters and insurrectionaries, waving Mexican flags and defying the legitimate authority of the American people and our Constitutional leadership. They’ve pushed the situation to the point at which President Trump has had to act to safeguard the lives, property, and interests of Americans through the activation of National Guardsmen — and perhaps beyond. We hope this is sufficient, and we applaud the President for having the will, and the vision, to exercise his full authority on behalf of our nation – against all enemies, foreign and domestic.

The appearance of the Mexican flag – let’s be clear, the flag of a foreign power whose symbology appears in the midst of insurrection on our own American soil — raises some serious questions. They deserve answers. They deserve answers, because we know that the Mexican regime cannot be assumed to have nothing to do with any of this.

The Mexican regime maintains MORENA party cells on American soil. These will occasionally be activated within the United States, as, for example, when “protesters“ showed up in front of the New York Times building to denounce (accurate) reporting on the Mexican president‘s partnership with drug cartels. One may also see MORENA posters on the streets of Laredo, Texas — an American city. nytimes.com/2024/02/22/wor…
5/
The Mexican regime has attempted to directly interfere in American elections and civics – the Texas Public Policy Foundation has actually written a paper on this. texaspolicy.com/mexican-electi…
6/
The Mexican regime and its functionaries will repeatedly boast — as they have to our own colleagues — that they will if needed activate the Mexican population of the United States for the furtherance of their own ends.
7/
The Mexican regime has repeatedly asserted the interests of its nationals in the United States as one of its own core national interests.
8/
The Mexican regime has been in open partnership, for years, with the human-trafficking cartels that have led directly to the illegal-alien crisis that President Trump contend with now. thespectator.com/mexico/mexican…
9/
The Mexican regime, literally yesterday, put out an official statement denouncing President Trump‘s efforts to bring law and order to violence-plagued Los Angeles. gob.mx/sre/prensa/mex…

We’d have to be naïve, or suicidal on an existential level, to look at this pattern of facts, and the violence in California now, and the Mexican symbology deployed by the insurrection, and not draw some conclusions about our neighbor to the south – and especially its government, which is neither a partner nor a friend. The Mexican regime will encourage and foster everything we see now — and dare us to do something about it, claiming that its feelings will be hurt, or it will cease “cooperation“ if we hold it to account.
11/
The shame is that, even now, some of the bureaucrats in the federal government actually believe them.
12/
We need to look at the Mexican flags being waived in Los Angeles as a signal. It’s a signal that we need to start asserting our own interests, as much as they assert theirs. The bad news is that we’ve never really done it. The good news is that if we choose to do it, we hold nearly all the cards.
13/
The number-one card we can play: USMCA reauthorization. This so-called free-trade treaty between Mexico, the United States, and Canada, is the absolute pillar of the Mexican economy. If it goes, so too do the remnants of whatever national prosperity they have left under their narco-regime. The United States and Canada can get by without Mexico – but the reverse is not true. As it happens, this treaty must be re-authorized no later than July 1, 2026.
14/
The Mexican regime wants USMCA reauthorization to be near-automatic, and divorced from any conversation about security, immigration, cartels, trafficking, and their own enmity toward the United States. We need to do something different: if they want to enjoy the benefits of trade with us, they must deliver massive concessions on all those points, unparalleled in the history of that country. Sure, they’ll complain about their “sovereignty“ – but this is the same regime that has no problems surrendering its sovereignty to drug cartels, and we certainly should not respect their sovereignty more than they do ours.
15/
It’s time to play hardball. The era of toleration for a Mexican regime that leads directly to the violence we see in California now is over. This is America, and we must defend America. The place to start is in a simple principle: if Mexican flags are appearing in a rebellion against Constitutional authority in the United States – the consequences must be felt in Mexico. @DHSgov @ICEgov @POTUS @VP @SecDef @SecRubio @TPPF

Pay close attention to what’s going on in Los Angeles, because it’s happening nationwide. These violent agitators must be stopped immediately before this gets out of hand. America cannot accept a rerun of 2020-style riots and violent outbursts targeting law enforcement. THREAD (1/5)

ICE is responsible for removing illegal aliens from our country – powers that Congress gave them. Put simply, they are doing their job. It’s a dangerous job, and ICE officers risk their lives daily to protect our communities. We should protect them in return.

Any attempt to thwart ICE operations, dox officers and their families, or destroy property must be met with the full force of the law.
