According to the World Bank, using the old metric ($3.65/day), an additional 13 million Pakistanis have fallen below the poverty line—a 13.68% increase since 2022, pushing the total to 108 million.
Under the new benchmark ($4.20/day), the number is even more horrifying: 114 million Pakistanis (44.7% of our people) now live in poverty.
