Wasson Watch Co's Statement on the Recent US Bombing of Iran

If you're new to this channel you might be like, "Wasson Watch Co.'s what??? Why does a watch company make statements on bombing Iran???" Well, stick around.

The rest of you may have noticed a number of posts from us over the last week or two that might indicate that we're supportive of US military action against Iran.

Here's the thing. It's not so much that we were jumping up and down pushing for military action against Iran. But we don't agree with the idea that military action shouldn't be on the table at all. Our purpose and design for the last couple weeks has been to hold a position that leaves room for @POTUS @realDonaldTrump to make whatever decision would be necessary for the security and interests of the United States.

Some of you believe that it could not, in any way, be beneficial to the security or interests of the United Stats for us to take any kind of military action against Iran. And we disagree with that.

Iran has been an avowed enemy of the United States since the Iranian Revolution in 1979 and their decision to capture the US embassy, and hold US embassy staff hostage for 444 days.

In 1983 Iranian backed Hezbollah terrorists bombed a Marine Corps Barracks and a US Embassy in Beirut, killing over 300 in the combined attacks.

In 1988 Iran mined the Persian Gulf, and the mine was struck by the USS Samuel B. Roberts.

Throughout the US involvement in Afghanistan and Iraq since 2001, Iran has backed terrorists and insurgents operating in both nations with money, arms, housing, and other forms of substantive support. Iran is directly responsible for the deaths and injuries of thousands of US Servicemen and Women in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Iran was involved in both the support and planning of the October 7th attack in Israel, and has reportedly been involved in planning similar attacks for Europe and the United States.

To say that Iran is an enemy of the United States that is willing to act in direct violent action against us is a statement with significant evidence to support it. Those who deny it are either ignorant, or purposefully supporting a demonstrably false narrative.

Ok, so they're enemies, and so they wish us ill-will, but what about nukes? Let's assume (for arguments sake) that they are close to getting nukes. Why should we care? Don't a lot of other nations have nukes? Britain, France? Pakistan? North Korea? Israel? They all have nukes, so what's the big deal?

Iran is unique. They have not only shown a greater proclivity for aggressive military action against the United States over the last 50 years. They uniquely hold a chaotic, unstable worldview that makes them irrational actors when compared with virtually every other nation.

Let me explain.

Let's take North Korea for instance. They're not a rational nation at all by American standards, but their leadership is rational in that they don't want to die. Not wanting to die is a very normal human desire. Kim Jong Un might be a deranged, fat, little man with a big missile, but he knows if he ever uses it, his nation will be turned into a hot lava field, and he will not survive. He doesn't want that.

But Iran is different.

You see, Iran is the most Shia nation in the world. It's the Capitol of Shia Islam, if you will. It is heavily defined by Shia Islam to an extent that no other nation is, and it also happens to be a relatively large nation, with a total population of about 90 million people (sorry Ted Cruz, not trying to dunk on you here).

That's important to know, because Shia Muslims hold to a strange eschatology (end times belief) that the world will fall into greater and greater chaos, leading to the appearance of the 12th Imam, also known as Muhammad al-Mahdi, who is supposed to establish peace and justice and redeem Islam.

There is a large contingent of Iranians who actually support actions that could lead to the deaths of many Iranians, as well as other people around the world, with the idea that it may be what is required to usher in the appearance of the Mahdi. In other words, it's insane.

Iran cannot be trusted with nuclear weapons.

I can't tell you how close they are/were to having them. Maybe the intelligence received and reported by our government is spot on, and they were weeks away from nuclear capability. Maybe not. But I don't think there's any doubt in anyone's mind that they are and have been seeking nuclear capability for a long time. There have been massive negotiations about it for a long time. Everyone knows they seek it, and everyone knows that the US and many others have been categorically against it.

So whether you believe they were "close" or not, the issue is they were seeking it, and the end state of them having nukes is unacceptable whether it's sooner or later.

On a personal note, I served in the US Marine Corps from 2005 to 2010. I deployed to Iraq once from 2008 to 2009. My brother, also a Marine, deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan. I have cousins and uncles who deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan. Looking back, I don't believe the United States made the right decision invading Iraq. I absolutely believe we made the right decision to invade Afghanistan, but the way we fought that war was just downright stupid. We never fought to win, because US military doctrine has been so warped for so long. We fight to not lose. We believe we can rely on our superior technology and funding to win against an determined enemy, and that's simply not enough. So, coming out of the Marine Corps in 2010 I was very skeptical about war and military conflict for many years. I've written extensively about the subject in the past. I'm not generally flippant about the topic.

But part of thinking clearly includes the ability to think in categories. Yes, war is bad, but war is also part of the reality of the world we live in, and sometimes it's necessary. Yes, war is bad, but whether we engage in it is not just up to us. Our enemy gets a vote too.

Iran is a unique enemy that deserves special treatment in this regard. Donald Trump is also a special President. I know he's not perfect, and I don't agree with every decision he makes. But I trust him on this one. And, as you may have gathered from everything I've written so far, it's not a blind trust. I already have a large body of reasons for why I'm good with this. But it helps to have a President you trust.

Lastly, but definitely not least, we need to talk about Islam in general.

You see, Islam has been in conflict with Christendom and the West for about 1,400 years. Americans tend to think in terms of months and years. But our history is much longer than that. There will never, and I mean never be a day that Christianity and Islam can be at peace with one another. Islam is a false, Satanic, evil religion. It is also a religion of conquest, domination, and destruction. It is not a religion of tolerance, mercy, or truth.

Muslims seek to conquer the world for Islam, and they do not intend to tolerate non-believers once they take power. They tried defeating us militarily, and largely that failed. In recent years they have taken a different approach, flooding western nations with immigrants. In much of Europe their populations already wield large amounts of power, and where they wield power they cease to be the "friendly" immigrants they once were. Have you ever heard of rape gangs?

Some of you think Iran is our enemy because of American support for Israel. That's short sighted. Muslims believe they have a right and a responsibility to wage war on non-Muslims.

Right after the United States declared independence from Great Britain, Muslim Pirates known as the Barbary Pirates began attacking US ships. Previously they didn't because Great Britain had the most powerful navy in the world, and we were under protection from that navy. Once we declared independence that all changed.

For years America tried the approach of appeasement. After all, the founding fathers were non-interventionalists. They wanted to keep to themselves. Let the rest of the world worry about itself, right?

Convenient ideology.

But, as Brad Pitt's character in the movie Fury said, "Ideals are peaceful. History is violent."

At some point it became clear that appeasement wasn't working. Our sovereign ships were being attacked, their cargos stolen, and their crews captured, and sold into slavery.

The US Navy was literally commissioned in response to the Barbary Pirates, and we ended up fighting two wars to defeat them, and secure safe passage for our vessels.

I mentioned that Iran is a special case, and it is, but Iran is a special case within a larger special case. I'm not suggesting that America needs to expend every last drop of blood and treasure in endless wars with dirt people in the Middle East.

But I am saying that we, the West, Christendom, are already in a long-term war with those people that is raging to some degree at all times, whether we recognize it or not, and whether we engage in it or not. There may be stretches of peace for weeks, months, years, or even decades due to limited capability of the enemy, or a lapse of conviction in their camp, or perhaps as a strategic pause on their part. But as long as Islam exists, it will be at war with Christianity.

If Islam is not eradicated before Christ returns, it will absolutely be eradicated by him. He is King of kings, and Lord of lords, and every knee will bow, and every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord.

So, I've said a lot. I'll just conclude by saying this:

As far as this conflict with Iran goes, I'll be pleased if it's an isolated event that doesn't result in escalation. It would be great if Iran learned from this, and decided to tone things down for a while (years? decades?)

But if it does escalate, I don't believe we'll have done the wrong thing. I stand by the position that Iran should not have nukes. I'm comfortable with that.

God Bless America

List of Biblically Based Prayers For Different Circumstances: Prayers can be spontaneous, but it's good to memorize scripture, and good to use scripture in prayer. No words are so powerful and true as God's words.
🧵
"Open my eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of your law." - Psalm 119:18 - I pray this right before I read my Bible.
"Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me." - Psalm 51:10 - This is a great prayer for when you're wrestling with sinful thoughts, attitude, or desire. It's great to recite over and over to eclipse whatever else is in your head.
