Not only would Kamala have bombed Iran, everyone currently insisting she wouldn’t have would be using Beyoncé gifs to celebrate it
She lost to Trump because she refused to break with Biden’s “anything Israel wants to kill Palestinians they get” approach. She said no to conditioning weapons sales, called Iran the most dangerous threat, kicked Arabs out of her rallies, yet ppl kept insisting she was different
You mean to tell me the Liz Cheney hugging “most lethal military” bragging, Top Cop candidate wouldn’t take marching orders from Bibi like her predecessor after Iran bombed Israel’s military sites for a week straight (after Israel bombed them first)? what reality do you live in?
The claim that Dems would be de-escalators if in charge would hold substance if current top Dems actually came out and opposed the strikes, instead of basing their entire opposition on protocol. Killing brown people is bipartisan policy—you’re lying if you don’t acknowledge that.
If this is how ostensibly “liberal” countries are reacting, how would a Democratic administration be any different. They wouldn’t. These girlboss revisionists have nothing—they just want another excuse to condescend and blame the left for their own leaders siding with fascists.
Starting a thread about increased surveillance/repression/punishment for free speech on campuses this fall, as it perfectly encapsulates how Liberal institutions fill their role in aiding fascism while paying lip service to diversity+equity so Libs can feel good about themselves
I think some members of The Squad and especially AOC's quote, "The matter is closed," looks really foolish right now, and I think it damages their credibility as truth-tellers that they've been knowingly lying to their own base of support.
I’ve seen this over and over and no one was arguing that they should’ve been first. They could have stayed neutral/said nothing. Instead they made it more difficult to oust Biden by staunchly defending him. And they lied, which hurts their own reputation.
Everyone on his mailing list got the same email from Bernie staunchly defending Biden. He wrote an op-ed in the New York Times staunchly defending him. It wasn’t just the online left.
Twitter’s nanny state language is just like every other tech company, and it’s hilarious they’re attempting to push HR-approved discourse to their users when they know full well that most people use Twitter to explicitly free themselves from that kind of surveillance
For those wondering why Bernie argued in 2016 for superdelegates in their states to honor the winner of that state, a thread of how SDs marginalized his wins:
New Hampshire:
BS 60.1%, HRC 37.7%
Delegates:
BS: 16, HRC: 15 (5 more SD)
Sanders won both of these states, but Hillary got more total delegates because of superdelegates:
