The government runs the stores that sell alcohol here, they do deliveries, staff is highly qualified to give advice, they're clean, standardized, have a wide selection. It's like the one institution that's viewed overwhelmingly positive by the Norwegian people.
If you're in the UK and you want sour beer good luck, you need to go to a bunch of different beer stores in the hopes they've got what you want. Here you just go to the government store, if they don't have it, they can probably order it.
They used to give you candy if you showed ID unprompted, they stopped doing that though I think.

This is Holocaust revisionism you illiterate baboon. The Nazis had a "starkly economic incentive for murder on a scale larger even than the Holocaust" due to food shortages. Slave labor replaced workers who had been called away to wage war on the Eastern Front.
The idea that the Nazis were just "blinded by ideology" is so fucking absurd. If you construct this idea of a monstrous alien and unthinking "other" for the Nazis you'll sleepwalk into the next Hitler.

A. Tooze, "Wages of Destruction" (2006), pp. 536, 538-539.

Since you love throating capitalism it may shock you to find that from the numbers we have on concentration camp labour it was *profitable* to the individual employer.

If an ideology motivated this, it was an ideology *very* compatible with material & market forces. Image

I'll limit myself to Nazi Germany since it's what I'm most familiar with, but "fascism absolutely does threaten capital" is far too general a statement to ever be correct considering the evidence that capital and market incentives played a key part in Nazi economic policy.
Big business were willing collaborators with the Nazi regime, and Hitler collected election funds in 1933 from German capitalists on a promise to erode democracy, crush the left and perhaps end elections.

Strikingly, there was even a "logical" "economic rationale" to the holocaust. Jews could be liquidated because there was a surplus of foreign slave labor to exploit for the profit of German business.

An astounding amount of AI guys who believe this general kind of thing have arrived at it through an explicitly eugenicist chain of logic that started with them thinking minorities carry criminal genes.

See Nick Land et. al.
An insane amount of pseudointellectual work done by people arguing for a kind of racist eugenicism that would make the Nazis blush is sanitized by AI freaks and pushed into the mainstream.
Nick Land argues for the exact thing Stephen Colbert is saying here, and Nick Land from what I understand is considered "the guy" to to start pushing this idea that the "light of consciousness should transcend humanity" etc.

But he's also fucking insane.

Mark Zuckerberg is a freak who dreams of watching bloodsports in the gladiatorial arena of Rome ca 20BC. He would never leave anything to chance. He works out to meditations by Aurelius. He sacrifices goats on the Saturnalia using his teeth. Elon Musk won't survive this.
He is complicit in at least two (possible more) genocides. His obsession with Emperor Augustus led him to name his children after him, shave his head like him. This man is not normal. His one desire is for total control after he was rejected by one high school crush in the 2000s.
It's so fucking funny how Apartheid Clyde, whose day consists of posting anime memes and replying "I CAN'T 🤣" to the unfunniest libertarian memes you've seen in your fucking life thinks he can fight a man who lives his life like he's fighting the Gauls in Teutoburg Forest.
