I'm 57.

I wish someone had told me this sooner:

Nobody is coming to save you.

Your future is 100% your responsibility.

Here's 7 other harsh truths you have to confront (if you want to be successful): Image
1) Become more of a producer than a consumer.

If you're consuming more than you're producing, you’ll end up robbed of your time and attention. Image
2) Watch what other people are doing and do the opposite.

If you do what everyone else does, then you’re going to get the same results.

Reject the idea of being normal! Image
3) Work smart, not hard.

Working smart and building a business has never been easier with modern technology like AI.

If you're not using it, you'll quickly fall behind.
4) The quality of your questions will shape your future success.

If your messages starts with “Hi, I know you’re busy, but can I ask a question?” you’ve already missed your chance.

Similarly, a simple “Hi, can we have a chat?” won’t get you far. Image
5) Always pay off your credit card in full

If you don’t pay off your credit card in full each month, you’re just wasting money and hurting your credit score.

Be smart about it. Make paying it off a habit, and it’ll stick with you for life.
6) Start saving for retirement now.

When people say investing is a waste of time, they're not seeing the bigger picture.

Of course, it’s important to make money quickly, but it’s equally important to let some of it grow passively for your retirement. Image
7) Never buy an investment without researching it first.

I’ve seen so many people lose money on poor investments, and usually it’s because they didn’t take the time to look into it.

If someone is pressuring you to invest, that’s often a red flag! Image

I'm dyslexic.

But in my 40 years of business, I have read hundreds of books.

They’ve directly helped me gross over a hundred million dollars in revenue.

These are my top 10: Image
1. Secrets of the Millionaire Mind

I didn't come from a wealthy background, and I vividly remember people saying the phrase

"Money is the root of all evil" during my youth.

This book explains how these phrases program us to believe that rich people are bad.
2. Atomic Habits

Many people fixate on the end goal rather than the process of achieving it.

I found habit stacking helpful for forming new habits.

This technique involves pairing a new habit with an existing one, so that both are completed simultaneously. Image

I'm 57.

If you're ambitious but lazy, please read this:
Here's the harsh truth:

Your clock is ticking.

You might be full of ideas and ambition, but without action, your dream life will fade away.

Here's how to create some real momentum in your life: Image
Step 1: Stagnation

At this stage, your income may barely cover your monthly expenses.

To escape: gain control of your finances, track every dollar, identify your essentials and automate your saving.

I'm a millionaire.

If I started investing from scratch again, I'd do this: 🧵
Step 1: Adjust Your Risk Tolerance

When you're young, you have more time than money.

You don't have a mortgage, no kids, but maximum recovery time.

Compare every investment to its opportunity cost: what you'd lose by not taking the risk. Image
Step 2: Set It and Forget It

The best investment decision? Making it automatic.

That way, you can invest before you spend the money!

Put aside $100/month into an S&P 500 index fund. Image

Gurus tell you to follow your passion to get rich.

They're completely wrong.

I made millions doing the OPPOSITE of what online gurus preach.

Here's my 5-step anti-guru formula that will actually help you become rich:🧵 Image
In 2025, fake gurus are everywhere.

"Manifest your millions!"
"Follow your passion!"
"Just believe harder!"

This feel-good nonsense just keeps people poor.

But here's the truth...
STEP 1: Don't Follow Your Passion

'Passion' is a fluffy word with no real meaning.
It fades, especially when you turn it into work.

I've watched people jump from passion to passion, always starting from zero.

That's not how you get rich. Image

I'm a millionaire.

If I wanted to invest as a beginner, I'd do this: 🧵

(Starting with $100)
Most people think you need thousands to start investing.

But that's wrong.

I started investing with less than $100. Here's how:
Level 1: High-Interest Savings (Risk: 1/10)

It might be boring, but it's absolutely essential.

This is where you build your emergency fund in case anything goes wrong.

My emergency fund saved me $200 when my apartment's water heater exploded. No payday loans and no debt. Image

I'm a millionaire.

Here's how to manage your money like the 1%:🧵
The truth is anyone, no matter their income, can manage their money like the 1%.

Their secret?

It's not how much they make, but how they manage it.
While 60% of Americans earning $100K+ still live paycheck to paycheck, the wealthy follow
the 25/50/10 Rule:

25% → Growth
50% → Essentials
15% → Stability
10% → Rewards Image
