Here's my quick impressions of the Nothing Headphone 1 after using them for 5 days!

(Thread) Image
Design & Build

- Solid build quality, design looks good in-person than on renders

- 4 buttons in total, all controls on right side

- Ample padding on them, although the earpads could've been more plush

- Has that old casette aesthatics, or you could say a Defib on your head Image
These do feel heavy and I did start to get some fatigue after prolonged use.

Controls
- Roller
- Paddle
- Button
- On/off switch

The carry case is nice. Has that fabric feel You can rotate the cups and keep them inside the case. The zipper quality is bad though. Image

Sound quality

- These 40mm drivers get pretty loud, and are tuned by KEF

- Default codec is AAC/SBC (lasts around 65 hours on it)

- Option to switch to LDAC within the app (lasts about 46 hours on it) Image
Sound is set to Balanced by default and there’s still a fair amount of bass in the default tuning but it’s not too much

Mids aren’t bloated and sound good

There’s also a 8-band parametric EQ where you can also enter frequencies to adjust the sound

EQ is very responsive Image
You can connect them both wired or wirelessly

There are limitations, like only Volume & ANC controls work when connected wired though (no play/pause)

There’s head tracking - which works fine but not the best in the segment

There’s also dual connection, on-head detection Image
Pretty strong ANC which drowns out most frequencies in the Highest setting.

But there’s Low Mid and Adaptive modes which can be a hit or a miss

Spacial Audio is not the best

Battery drain on LDAC + ANC is neither bad nor impressive, lasts about 25 hours (with 50% volume) Image
Plenty of customisations on the Nothing X app

Runs smoothly for the most part barring some hiccups

They can be ignored since the build that I have is still beta Image
