When I was a member of the #Labour Party I was also a member of the group #Disability Labour.
During the 2019 leadership campaign all of the Labour groups and organisations invited the candidates to meet their members for a Q&A session
#Starmer visited every single group except
One.
Can you guess which one?
His team didn't even bother replying to the invite.
Until they were publically shamed into it. Then they claimed he couldn't spend any time with #Disability Labour because his schedule was full.
We learned later he was having two or three
Meetings with other groups, but had no time for us...apparently.
It was clear from the start how little he thought of #disabled people. We are worthless to him. I would go as far to say he has real ableist issues with us.
Needless to say I resigned from the party the day he was
Elected leader.
How anyone could have voted for him is beyond me.

Seeing as there appears to be confusion about why #Labour is being talked about when it comes to the abuse of #disabled people here is why.
Since Labour came to power, Ministers and spokesmen have either fed the media stories or openly in interviews accused #disabled people of
Being workshy, scroungers and fraudsters.
They have also claimed there is massive #disability benefits fraud (its currently at 0.2%) and they singled out in particular PIP even though PIP can be claimed by those in work and current levels of fraud are at 0.0%
Labour ministers have also claimed that people are claiming benefits to avoid work using "fake" mental health issues and have mounted a campaign claiming anxiety is not a real issue and people are faking it
Starmer, Kendall and Reeves have all been ableist and led these false
I am currently sitting waiting for the police to arrive after two men pushed me over, took my crutch and threw it into a very busy road in Derby City Centre.
They thought it was funny, shouted stuff like 'you are a r*t*rd, get a job, you need putting down' as they did it
Now I
Am over 6ft and a good weight and they felt comfortable doing this to me.
What chance do smaller disabled people have, especially if they have sight loss or are wheelchair users etc?
My crutch is damaged but thankfully the cars stopped and a driver brought it over it me.
Some lovely passerbys have insisted on ringing the police and an ambulance after I explained why I need the walking aid.
Having Chiari Malformation means that any sudden knock or physical shock could cause significant harm to my brain.
