We have been gaslit for years about Israel's influence on US politics.
A congressional inquiry reveals quite the contrary: The US has its hands so far up Israel's behind its fingers are poking out of Israel's throat.
A thread on American interference in Israeli politics.
Federal funds were funneled to organizations run by former Israeli spooks, left-wing politicians, and international bureaucrats.
US taxpayer funds were used to directly bolster opposition to a sitting Israeli Prime Minister.
/1
The funds were laundered through US & Israeli philanthropies, but originated in the SD & DoD, as well as USAID.
While there is no clear proof, this matches CIA color revolutions in Serbia, Ukraine and others.
/2
Americans funded training in Israeli high-schools, encouraging youth to protest the government.
/3
Between '21 - '24, ~900 million dollars [that we know of!] flowed into Israel through government funded orgs in attempt to influence constitutional structures in the Jewish State.
/4
The US's deepstate involvement in Israeli politics is so complex and extensive it consists of dozens of bodies, orgs, shell funds, gov. departments, and high profile politicians and spooks.
/5
Additionally, the US has granted hundreds of millions to orgs with ties to terror organizations which operate in and around Israel.
/6
All of this should not come as a surprise, as the US has attempted to control Israeli politics before.
Take for example, the Obama admin. & CIA's attempt to displace an Israeli Prime Minister in 2015 with the V15 campaign, which was funded through the State dep.
/7
One could question whether any of this is a responsible use of tax-payer funds.
More importantly, it's suicidal for a country to be so involved in the politics of an ally. Not because Israel could hurt the US--Israelis love America, & the country is too small to be a threat.
But while the US has vast financial resources, the attention its intelligence agencies, State, & Defense deps. invest in the minutia of Israeli politics is a distraction from their actual jobs: Defending American interests.
/8
USian obsession with Israel reached down to the play-by-play of Israel's campaign in Gaza.
There is no universe in which the US president has the time to oversee the daily operations of a conflict involving less than 13 million people.
/9
The next time someone tells you Israel has an outsized influence on the US government, ask them:
If Israel was really that powerful, don't you think they would keep the CIA and State dep. from running amuck in their country?
/10
Incidentally, Jeffery Epstein's contacts in Israel were all mouth-pieces for US policy propaganda.
Speculatively, Epstein may have forwarded the CIA agenda in Israel by activating his network which was vocally supportive of the all the above demonstrated USAID activities.
In reality, the truth is altogether different. AIPAC & US military "aid" are tools of American domination which are primarily used to strangle Israeli foreign policy & defense industries, gripping the Jewish State where it hurts.
The 12-Day War is over, Israel demolished enemies across the Middle East, and Trump & Bibi plan their victory lap in DC.
Naysayers deride the war as a mere averted catastrophe. In reality, Israel has attained regional dominance, & changed geopolitics forever.

As @SpencerGuard reports, Israel undid Iran’s air defenses, operating with impunity and without casualties. Significant damage was done to the Iranian nuke program and 15 irreplaceable scientists were eliminated. So too, dozens of top military brass were assassinated. 1/
@SpencerGuard Iran’s ballistic missile factories were destroyed & ~65% of Iran's missile launchers & 1k stockpiled missiles were eliminated.
Even if Iranian munitions weren't depleted, their ability to fire is severely damaged. The “bottleneck” of Iranian firepower is now rate-of-fire. 2/
Israeli PM Netanyahu laid out his vision for southern Syria:
1) IDF will remain indefinitely across on the Hermon Mt. 2) Syrian forces won't be allowed south of Damascus. 3) IDF will ensure safety for the Druze in Syria.
Establishing a de facto autonomous Druze zone.
Thread.
A coalition of Druze have announced the formation of the Sweida Military Council.
The militia seeks to unite Druze forces and acquire the ability to ensure the safety of the populace in southern Syria.
The only obvious threat they could counter are Jolani's forces in Damascus.
The Council's statement can be found on this Kurdish Media post.
Essentially, they have thrown their lot in with the Kurdish SDF: they are willing to remain part of Syria, but they want local autonomy, and are willing to use military force to keep it.
"The hostage deal is a mistake, undoubtedly, but one the Israeli government has to make.
While the agreement will endanger the lives of IDF soldiers, and raise the likelihood of copycat attacks in the future, the political constellation has forced Netanyahu's hand."

Those were the words I wrote in Nov. 22, '23, before the previous hostage deal between Israel and Hamas was signed.
As the sentiment against the current deal is boiling to the point of hysteria, it is time to do this again.

The deal promises a release of 33 Israelis (women & children) in return for 990 terrorists.
During this time, the IDF will withdraw from population centers in Gaza, and 600 trucks of humanitarian aid will enter the strip a day.
Following yesterday's discussion of Israeli annexation of Druze villages, Erdogan publicly states that Syria's major cities could become Turkish provinces.
Yesterday, Dec. 14, 2024, President of Turkey spoke before his party at Sakarya.
He indicated that the post-WWI situation in the middle east was over. Essentially, he is saying what everyone has known for years: The Sykes-Picot paradigm is a mess and needs to be junked.
Of course Erdogan DIDN'T say that he was GOING to annex parts of Syria.
The statement was hypothetical, it could easily mean that he will annex the whole country.
It could also mean that he isn't going to annex anything at all.
