Instead: 1) Aim for a 400-600 calorie deficit/day. 2) 0.5-0.75 kg loss/week 3) Faster only if you have a lot of fat & expert guidance
Should you ditch sugar, rice & roti altogether?
No!
Science says:
1) Weight loss happens when you eat fewer calories than you burn (calorie deficit).
2) Rice, roti, or sugar aren’t “evil.”
You can include them in moderation & still lose fat.
What should you do instead?
1) Eat mostly whole foods 2) Balance your plate with carbs, protein & healthy fats 3) Watch your portions 4) Create a moderate calorie deficit you can stick to
What about green tea or fat-burner coffee?
Studies show:
1) Green tea & coffee may help a tiny bit.
2) At best, 1-2 kg extra over 3-6 months.
Not magic. Please don’t rely on them.
Instead, focus on things that work:
1) Use a good protein source (whey or plant‑based)
2) Creatine can help with strength (optional)
3) Caffeine as pre‑workout
But these are just add ons.
Prioritize protein
1) Aim for about 1.6 g protein per kg of your goal body weight
2) Helps preserve muscle
3) Keeps you full
4) Supports recovery
Add more veggies & fruits
1) Low in calories
2) High in fiber & vitamins
3) Keep you full longer
4) Support overall health
Add resistance training
1) Helps build & keep muscle while losing fat
2) Makes you stronger & leaner
3-4 per week is more than enough
And don’t forget walking.
Studies show daily walking burns extra calories & helps with fat loss.
Even 8-10k steps/day makes a big difference over time.
Slow & steady > crash diets.

My kid turned 1 today. These 365 days have been a roller coaster as a parent. First time. New experience.
Some tweets on how parenthood has changed me as a person and why one should consider becoming a parent at some point in their lifetime. Read it whenever you have time or save it for later. This thread is not for 21-year-olds. You guys can skip it.
Being a parent gives you a power you may not have been aware of. From the first day of their birth, you will start feeling that you have become so powerful that you can fight anyone and any situation to protect your kid.
There have been instances in my life where I would have had a severe anxiety attack or a nervous breakdown, but when you have the responsibility of a kid, you know you will find a way out of any situation.
Every cry of your kid will add something to you, like another brick in your building. You will start feeling like working 24/7 to avoid that cry and to provide your kid with everything possible. My dad had to sell his car and factory when his business failed. Now I understand why he didn't run away or take his life, because he couldn’t see me crying. He sold products door-to-door on his cycle to provide for me; today, I am doing the same to provide for my child. Whatever I can do best. The day you become a father you will start understanding your father.
Today is World Thyroid Day, and this thread is specifically for people with thyroid issues or whose family members have them. Others, please ignore.
Before I begin, let me clarify: Yes, it is possible to become healthier with thyroid issues, nothing is impossible, but you may need to take care of a few things.

Firstly, what is the thyroid?
It's a small, butterfly-shaped gland in your neck that controls metabolism, energy, body temperature, mood, and even fertility by releasing T3 and T4 hormones.
Too little = Hypothyroidism
Too much = Hyperthyroidism
Common symptoms of hyper- and hypothyroidism:
Fatigue, weight gain, hair thinning, brain fog, anxiety, weight loss, etc.
Not all symptoms appear in everyone, especially in the early stages.
About a week ago, GoodBug's ads were all over social media.
With celebrities like Hrithik Roshan, Disha Patani, and Gauahar Khan promoting it, the product quickly went viral.
Naturally, I started getting flooded with DMs: "Is this really clinically proven?"
So I made a video breaking down what terms like “Clinically Tested” or “Clinically Proven” actually mean in scientific research. These are just buzzwords used by various companies without adding proper context and data.
