During our ground campaign for the upcoming protests, we came across a street vendor who had hung Khan Sahab keychains and some other related items in his small shop. He was clearly hardworking, striving to make an honest living.

He told us he had been jailed for two weeks just for hanging those keychains.

The amount of badduas I had in my heart for the regime at that moment, I can’t even explain. And yet, despite everything, he assured us he would be at the protest, right at the front lines.

And he wasn’t the only one. We came across hundreds of such stories; kisi ka baaap 9 May kay case mein andar hai, kisi kay bhai 10 mahino sey jail mein hai etc etc. People were in such Josh they even told us their election stories. We were so inspired I can't tell🥺

People with struggle in their eyes, and yet a firm smile on their faces. A smile filled with hope. Some kissed the pamphlets we handed out, promising us, “He’ll be back and we’ll be out on the streets for him.”
