. @DNIGabbard has released new, declassified documents revealing that in its final days the Obama Administration plotted to hamper the incoming Trump Administration with a phony Russia collusion narrative.
Here are three verifiable takeaways from the new documents. 🧵
1. The Steele Dossier played a role in the January 2017 Intelligence Community Assessment (ICA) of Russian interference in the 2016 election.
Multiple senior CIA officers argued against its inclusion because
"it failed to meet basic tradecraft standards."
When confronted with these flaws, CIA Director John Brennan
responded, "Yes, but doesn't it ring true," and ordered its inclusion in the ICA anyway.
Even worse, CIA Director Brennan lied about his reliance on the Dossier repeatedly.
Here he is in 2018 telling Meet The Press that it "did not play any role whatsoever in the Intelligence Community Assessment".
He repeated the same line to Congress in 2023 when testified that he had no involvement in analyzing the Dossier.
2. There was never solid evidence for the ICA's assertion that Putin "developed a clear preference" for Trump. The claim relied on dubious evidence that CIA analysts read several different ways.
Again, Brennan overruled the career analysts and forced its inclusion in the ICA.
3. President Obama was much more involved in this sordid affair than previously known.
In the summer 2016, Obama was briefed by Brennan on the Clinton campaign's plan to tarnish Trump by hyping up Russian interference fears.
After Trump historic 2016 victory, President Obama directed the IC to prepare a new report on Russian interference. While the IC previously concluded that Putin sought to sow chaos, this new ICA would conclude that Putin intervened to help Trump win.
This conclusion would then be leaked to the press by the Obama administration on December 9, 2016.
So what did we learn: There was never any real evidence that Putin sought to aid the Trump campaign. Despite that fact, DCIA Brennan, at Obama's direction, forced this conclusion into the ICA and set the stage for a multi-year long collusion hoax.
DOJ should absolutely look at this to determine if any laws were broken. Without a doubt this is one of the biggest political scandals in our nation's history. Our duly-elected president was sabotaged by his predecessor for political gain.
It has taken far too long to get the truth and I am grateful to DNI @TulsiGabbard for finally bringing much needed transparency and sunlight to this shameful episode.

Territorial expansion is a time-honored American tradition—think Louisiana Purchase, Alaska. We're a frontier people—it's in our blood.
Acquiring Greenland isn't a silly idea. It makes all the sense in the world.
Here's why. 🧵
Greenland is the only place where the U.S. can simultaneously:
• Strengthen missile warning & defense
• Improve polar space tracking
• Help close the Atlantic’s northern maritime gate
• Shape Arctic shipping security
• Reduce critical-minerals dependence
• Deny Russia & China a High North foothold
The shortest paths for ICBMs and advanced air-breathing threats from Russia, China, Iran, and North Korea to the U.S. run over the High North.
Greenland buys America time—to identify the threat, prepare to intercept, and determine the best response.
Below, you can read my letter to @UnderSecPD laying out the case for sanctioning the foreign bureaucrats and NGOs who are trying to impose left-wing Euro-style speech codes on Americans. This is an urgent fight—for our country and for Western civilization.
The Optional Practical Training program is a cheap foreign-labor program for big companies and universities.
But it's undermining young Americans.
It’s time to overhaul or possibly end this terribly broken program all together. 🧵
OPT boxes young Americans out of the workforce, discriminates against American workers in favor of foreign labor, and suppresses wages and job opportunities for U.S. graduates. It distorts our higher education system, feeds “visa mill” fraud, and threatens our national security.
Under OPT, foreign nationals can work in the U.S. on student visas for up to 12 months after graduation, and up to three years for STEM fields.
In practice, it’s become a shadow guest-worker program, with no caps, labor-market tests, or any meaningful limits or standards at all.
Last month, I wrote to Secretary Rubio urging him to designate the international Antifa networks as Foreign Terrorist Organizations.
Antifa is a global terror network—and it's time we treated it like one.
An international system is driving left-wing violence on U.S. soil. 🧵
On July 4, 2025, 11 members of an Antifa terror cell carried out an armed ambush on an ICE facility in Texas.
They had spent months preparing—scouting out the site, taking surveillance notes, coordinating attack positions, and writing an operations plan to maximize casualties.
The militants—who had staged at a safe house the night before—arrived in body armor, carrying rifles. They detonated fireworks to lure officers out into the open, and then opened fire, and kept shooting until their guns jammed. One cop was hit in the neck and critically wounded.
