(1/10) Can we have proper respect towards international playerbase in tournament setting please ?
Here's the trouble we're into right now :
(2/10) Shadowverse Open Kickoff #1 was intended to start 4.5+ hours ago. It started with a 2:30 delay. Then troubles came in : peoples were getting into multiple issues like being disqualified from start and other problems like that. The Pool 1 even got mostly restarted.
(3/10) After 1:30 of tournament, instead of the 30 minutes indicated in the rules, we finally closed on round 1 pool 2 due to technical difficulties. What happened ? Here is the sole reason : Battlefy wasn't ready for Shadowverse: Worlds Beyond and they swapped to StartGG.
(4/10) Just to make sure you understand the kind of struggles that happened, I myself got moved from Pool 2 to Pool 1 between Round 1 and Round 2. This is the kind of issues we are facing here.
Here's the real questions in my mind though :
(5/10) 1) Was the solution tested beforehand ? It definitely feels like there was a lack of testing on that matter. 2) Why not running the safer choice of Battlefy and prefer StartGG despite SV:WB being unsupported ? 3) Why the tournament wasn't postponed with such time loss ?
(6/10) 4) It seems like there's a lack of staff here. It feels like Gelo is nearly carrying the whole tournament alone. Why are things like this in the first place ? How is that normal for 1 person to manage 1k+ players ?
(7/10) 5) This creates another issue : there's is a massive lack of communication and it just hurts even more the whole tournament organization. Why don't we have someone dedicated to communication for the tournament ? Like a Community Manager ?
(8/10) More globally, the fact we moved to Shadowverse: Worlds Beyond could have been a great point towards implementing more of the tournament infrastructure directly into the game.
I think there is trully a missed opportunity here. Maybe in a future update ?
(9/10) Overall, i just feel sad for the competitive scene as a whole, whether side you're on.
But I personally feel even more sad and sorry for newer players.
This was their 1st impression at competitive Shadowverse and it's the worst competitive experience i've never seen.
(10/10) I'll update the thread as we move through the tournament to point things that go hopefully right and things that go wrong.
For now, i'm in 1/1, waiting for Round 3 in Pool 1. Pool 1's Round 2 started an hour ago. At this rate, i'll drop #1 to be able to play #2.

A country and a half are getting nearly sabotaged for SV Evolve and it's getting more ridiculous each day.
They are France and FR-speaking Switzerland.
First, let's add some context.
(2/13)
I'm part of the mod team on the ShadowverseFR server and we are handling both SV and SVE french communities.
We got ourselves hyped to the point of translating all the cards since the japanese SDs releases and even porting these to LackeyCCG, a simulator. (See below)

So, when it was announced for an EN release, @tsunpanda, who's living nearby Paris started going to (almost) ALL CARD SHOPS in Paris to tell them about the game and asking if they were interested in it for local play. Some did, some didn't. He did insanely good work here.
