Rishi Kanāda’s Atomic Theory — When India Defined Atoms Before the Greeks 😱
Before Democritus spoke of atoms…
Before Newton defined motion…
An Indian sage had already explored it all.
Meet Rishi Kaṇāda — the world’s first atomic scientist.
Let me will blow your mind... 🧵
Over 2,500 years ago (or even earlier), Kaṇāda declared:
“All matter is made up of Paramāṇu – the smallest, indivisible particles.”
These weren’t just physical particles.
They were intelligent, dynamic... vibrating with motion and energy.
📌 He said:
➡️ Paramāṇu = indivisible unit of matter (smaller than what we call atom)
➡️ Cannot be perceived directly
➡️ When combined, they create Anu
➡️ Multiple Anu = gross matter
In short: he described subatomic theory long before modern physics.
