DoubleZero has launched a 3M SOL stake pool.

It’s designed to expand DoubleZero’s high-performance fiber network, support early testnet users, accelerate validator performance and unlock geographic decentralization across the @Solana ecosystem long-term.

Let’s break down what this really means for Solana: ↓Image
1/ Solana already runs one of the fastest validator networks in the world.

But there’s more work to be done to match performance with scale.

To make the Solana network globally performant, wherever high-quality validators want to run, we need new, purpose-built physical infrastructure optimized for speed.

Enter: the DoubleZero Delegation Program (DZDP)
2/ DoubleZero’s delegation model is designed to complement @Solana’s existing infrastructure by extending its reach into new geographies, expanding the DoubleZero high-performance fiber network.

Phase 1 is already live:

We’re delegating SOL to early contributors who helped pilot-test DoubleZero, supporting those who supported us in building the new internet from the start. 🤝
3/ This stake pool is ultimately designed to decentralize stake on Solana and bring new validator regions online.

@DoubleZero’s low-latency infrastructure gives validators in underutilized geographies the performance boost they need to compete making it possible to operate profitably from any corner of the globe.
4/ Once we hit mainnet-beta this fall, the pool enters Phase 2: Decentralization of the Solana network.

We’ll begin allocating stake to operators on the ‘edges’ of the DoubleZero network, and in new geographies where stake is least concentrated.

Phase 2 will require location-based criteria and include a formal application process.

More information to follow on this soon.
5/ The goal of the DZDP is clear:

Support high-quality operators in underrepresented regions. Why?

Accessibility: Performance shouldn’t be location-dependent.

DoubleZero levels the playing field by bringing high-performance infrastructure everywhere so any node can compete.

From anywhere in the world.
6/ As of today:

• 174 nodes are already live on the DZ testnet with more coming online daily

• That’s 3.29% of staked mainnet SOL already migrated to DoubleZero’s fast lane.

• Every connected validator gets a DZ badge on to stand out to delegators and stakers.validators.app
7/ Want to contribute?

You can stake to the DoubleZero pool today.

Validator eligibility details for global delegation will go live alongside mainnet-beta this fall.

Follow @DoubleZero to stay up to date with new information as its released.
8/ The internet wasn’t built for blockchains.

But DoubleZero is.

Together, we can make performance available to everyone, everywhere.

9/ As part of the program, DoubleZero is launching dzSOL, a liquid staking token representing delegated stake in the network.

001/ We’re thrilled to announce that DoubleZero Foundation has completed a $28 million token round co-led by @MulticoinCap and @dragonfly_xyz, with participation from @FoundationCap, @recvcx, @dba_crypto, @borderless_cap, @Superscrypt, @_Frictionless_ and others to build a new, faster fiber network for high-performance blockchains and distributed systems.

It’s an N1 - not an L1 or L2, but a new network purpose built for high performance distributed systems.Image
002/ The internet we use today was never designed for the distributed systems of today.

It wasn't built for high performance decentralized systems, let alone thousands of blockchain validators reaching consensus across continents. And after years of software optimizations, we've hit a physics wall—no amount of code can overcome the speed of light or public networks.

The final frontier for blockchain scaling isn't code. It's the physical infrastructure beneath it.

It’s time to take a look under the hood.
003/ Enter DoubleZero: the world's first N1, neutral base layer infrastructure for a distributed world.

DoubleZero: a high-performance, permissionless global network where fiber operators contribute underutilized bandwidth to infrastructure purpose-built for distributed systems.

The need to rebuild the physical foundation beneath blockchains is imperative, because no matter how optimized your software becomes, it can only perform as well as the network it runs on.

Core contributors to the protocol include @MalbecLabs_xyz and Jump Crypto, with significant contributions from @Anza_xyz and @jito_labs.

Announcing the DoubleZero protocol and network – a decentralized framework for creating and managing high-performance permissionless networks.

DoubleZero is not a new L1 or L2, it is a new global base layer network – an N1 – optimized for blockchain and distributed systems.
1/5 Image
The protocol enables permissionless contribution of independent fiber links to create a dynamic and expansive low-level high performance global network. This decentralized network infrastructure layer enables systems like Layer 1 and Layer 2 blockchains to be freed of communication bottlenecks and approach the maximum performance that physics allows. 2/5Image
DoubleZero is not just a transport layer – the network provides filtration and verification services, conducted by network devices running open source code, to perform signature verification and deduplification on inbound data. 3/5 Image
