#JYPE’s evidence against KG’s team claims (part one)

—— a long thread 🧵 Image

Susan Yoo has been working as an independent contractor for JYP America Inc. (formerly known as JYP USA Inc.) since December 15, 2023. Her role involves ensuring the safety of, and acting as a liaison for, certain talent under JYP’s management specifically the girl group VCHA Image
The respondent claimed JYP was secretly surveilling her through the ADT security system at the Group Residence. Susan Yoo denies this, stating that neither she nor the Resident Supervisor ordered or used any camera features, as surveillance of group members was prohibited. (1/2)
The installed system only included door and window sensors, and the ADT contract (Exhibit 3) confirms no camera functions were included. (2/2) Image
Susan Yoo states that she only learned the panel had a camera function in late 2024, after being informed by JYP management that the respondent had alleged hidden cameras were in the Group Residence. (1/2)
She then asked the Resident Supervisor, who said she had noticed a still camera, feature on the panel a few weeks before the respondent left. Believing it was just a built-in feature, the Supervisor covered it with tape but did not inform Yoo or JYP. (2/2) Image
Susan Yoo explains that while the respondent lived in the Group Residence, only she and the Resident Supervisor had access to the ADT system code. The Resident Supervisor was the only one with access to the ADT app, which was typically used to arm and disarm the system. (1/2)
The app did not allow viewing of any photos from the panel’s camera, and neither Yoo nor the Resident Supervisor ever accessed or saw any such photos during the respondent’s time there. (2/2) Image
Susan Yoo claims after being alerted to the existence of the panel camera, we confirmed that the ADT panel camera does not allow for a user to see a live view nor to record audio or video; its
sole function is to take a photo if the security system is triggered (1/2)
in the event of an attempted break in, and the system was never triggered during the entire time that Respondent live at the Group Residence. (2/2) Image
The Respondent claimed that the doors were alarmed to prevent going outside after 9:00 p.m., but this is incorrect. The alarm was activated by the Resident Supervisor based on the Group’s activities, often after 9:00 p.m., sometimes much later. (1/2)
If a Group member needed to leave after the alarm was set, they could simply ask the Resident Supervisor to disarm the system. (2/2) Image
The Group Residence is the members’ home, not a workplace. The Resident Supervisors, overseen by the declarant, prioritize the members’ privacy and safety. Visitors who are not residents are allowed only between 9 AM and 5 PM. (1/2)
The ADT alarm system was installed solely to protect members from outside harm. (2/2) Image
The Respondent claimed JYP management used hidden surveillance to know about a Group member preparing meals late at night when no adults were present. (1/2)
This is incorrect. The Resident Supervisor noticed this simply by seeing used dishes between their nightly kitchen cleaning and the next morning’s meal prep. No cameras or hidden surveillance were involved—this was observed openly. (2/2) Image
The Respondent’s claim that JYP strictly controlled her personal time is false. The declarant regularly communicated with the Resident Supervisor and visited the Group Residence weekly. Together, they organized various optional outings, such as trips to museums, beaches (1/2)
amusement parks, etcGroup members also often walked around the neighborhood. According to the declarant, no request by Respondent or any member to go out was ever denied, and efforts were made to ensure they had opportunities to relax both inside and outside the residence. (2/2) Image
The Respondent claimed JYP forced the group to leave K-Town due to being recognized too much. In reality, the group chose to visit a rooftop hot dog stand there, accompanied by the Resident Supervisor. (1/2)
When fans began approaching and there was no security and limited exit options, the Supervisor decided to leave for safety reasons. The outing continued at another restaurant where the group could safely enjoy their meal. (2/2) Image
The Resident Supervisor accommodated Respondent’s vegetarian and gluten-free diet by preparing special meals and asking for grocery requests. She didn’t control Respondent’s diet, and advance notice of outings helped with meal planning. Image
Respondent’s claim that living in the Group Residence was like a “prison” and that JYP controlled all her time is inaccurate. Meal planning records (Exhibit 4) show she was free to visit family whenever she wished. Over the four and a half months she lived at the residence Image
Respondent's claim that she was dropped off alone at a hotel at 3 a.m. on May 19, 2024, is a major misrepresentation. The declarant states that the events of that day have been mischaracterized and will explain in detail the efforts taken to ensure Respondent's safety. Image
After a Zoom call on May 18, 2024, where Respondent discussed leaving the group, she became very upset and called the declarant at 2:30 a.m. on May 19, insisting on leaving the residence. The declarant took her to a nearby hotel for safety (1/2)
stayed until she was settled, and later received a message from Respondent's mother thanking her and confirming she was coming to pick up Respondent.
(2/2) Image
On the night Respondent left, the declarant believed it was due to a falling out with other Group members. Respondent never mentioned mental abuse or threats from JYP but said she disliked the dance demands and wanted a solo career. (1/2)
She planned to discuss leaving with Daniel Hong, as confirmed by her mother, who was consulting legal counsel (see Exhibit 5). The declarant affirms this statement is true under penalty of perjury, dated July 30, 2025, in Los Angeles. (2/2) Image
