THREAD: PDP’s Agenda of Alliance – Scam or Strategy?

In 2015, PDP formed a coalition with BJP.
But was it a coalition for governance?
Or a political stunt to grab power-while contradicting everything they stood for?

Let’s break down this betrayal! Image
Before the 2014 elections:
PDP warned Kashmiris that BJP was “anti-Muslim,” “anti-Kashmir,” and “anti-370.”
They painted themselves as the only “saviors” of Kashmir’s identity.

After the election: They allied with the BJP.

Power > Principles. (1/9)
PDP’s slogan: “Goli se nahi, boli se” (Not bullets, but dialogue).
But post-alliance, violence surged.
Separatists were emboldened.
Security forces were blamed for everything.
And PDP kept playing victim-while holding the CM’s chair. (2/9)
Mehbooba Mufti’s speeches in Delhi:
“We need peace and reconciliation.”
“We want to work with the Centre.”

Mehbooba Mufti in Srinagar:
“Delhi has betrayed Kashmir.”
“I wasn’t allowed to function.”

Classic case of dual speeches. Two faces. One chair. (3/9)
The so-called “Agenda of Alliance” had nothing for the people-but everything for political survival.
No roadmap. No governance. No reform.
Just photo-ops, press conferences, and mixed messaging.

It collapsed in 3 years. But the damage was done. (4/9)
PDP tried to eat from both plates:
Power from Delhi
Sympathy from separatists

They ended up discrediting both and Kashmiris were left with bloodshed, instability, and disillusionment. (5/9)
Even after the alliance broke, PDP returned to old tactics
Painting India as the villain
Glorifying terrorists as “local boys”
Shielding Hurriyat sympathizers
And again, blaming Delhi for everything

No introspection. Just another U-turn. (6/9)
Ask yourself:
If BJP was a threat to Article 370, why ally with them?
If Delhi was the problem, why run to it for power?
If PDP was the voice of Kashmiris, why were its policies identical to the ones it once opposed?

Because it was never about ideology. Just power. (7/9)
This was never a coalition of ideas.
It was a collision of contradictions.

And the only ones who suffered were the people-used as pawns in a dirty political game. (8/9)
Pro-India doesn’t mean pro-opportunism.

The future of Kashmir must be built on clarity, not chaos.
On conviction, not convenience.

And that begins by rejecting the politics of hypocrisy. (9/9)
