What is Karma made of? 😱

Not all karma is equal.

— Some get erased in seconds.
— Some bind you for lifetimes.
— Some even continue after you’re dead.

Let’s explore the 3 types of Karma.. and what Hinduism really says.

A Thread 🧵Image
Karma literally means “action” — but in Hinduism, it means more:

👉 Action + Intention + Consequence.

Every thought, word, and deed.. done with ego or attachment, leaves an imprint on your soul.

That’s karma. And it doesn’t disappear when you die.Image
📌 There are 3 types of Karma mentioned in Hindu texts like:

• Yoga Vasistha
• Brahma Sutras
• Bhagavad Gita
• Patanjali Yoga Sutras
• Vivekachudamani

👉 Each type binds you in a different way.. and must be handled differently.Image

📌 Sanchita Karma – The Accumulated Load

This is the entire stockpile of karmas from all your past lives. The infinite ledger you've built over countless births.

It includes:
— Good karmas (punya)
— Bad karmas (paap)
— Mixed karmas
— Unmanifest karmas

👉 You don’t suffer all your karmas in one birth.. only a part is selected.Image
🔹 Swami Sivananda writes:

“Sanchita Karma is like arrows in a quiver. From this, Prarabdha is drawn.. like the arrow already shot.”

👉 It’s your karmic bank balance. And most of us have been accumulating it for lifetimes.Image
📌 Prarabdha Karma – The Karma That Has Sprouted

This is the activated part of Sanchita Karma that’s ripe to bear fruit now.

It decides:

— Your birth
— Your family
— Body, gender, appearance
— Major joys and major sufferings
— Even the time and manner of death

It has already begun.. and must be burned through by living it out.

👉 Even enlightened beings cannot escape it completely.Image
🔹 As per the Yoga Vasistha:

“Prarabdha must be exhausted only through experience. No other method can destroy it once it has begun.”

Even Jnana (Self-knowledge) doesn’t erase it.. it only removes your identification with it.Image
👉 That's why even realized souls still appear to age, fall sick, or die.

Their body plays out its Prarabdha Karma... even if the soul is free.

— Ramana Maharshi still got cancer.
— Shree Krishna still got hit by an arrow.

🔹 Freedom from karma doesn't mean escaping life.. it means transcending attachment to it.Image
Image
📌 Kriyamana Karma (or Agami Karma) – The Karma You're Creating Now

This is your free will in action.

Every conscious act.. every word, every choice.. adds new karma.

👉 This karma may bear fruit in:

— This life (immediate)
— Future lives (delayed)
— Or even affect your children (transgenerational)

You’re writing your future destiny right now.Image
🔹 Patanjali Yoga Sutras (2.12) says:

“The reservoir of karmas has its roots in afflictions and is experienced in visible or invisible births.”

So your Kriyamana karma can extend far beyond your current life.

👉 This is why intentions matter even more than actions.Image
Image
Think of it like this:

🔹 Sanchita = All arrows you've collected in lifetimes
🔹 Prarabdha = The arrow already fired.. must strike
🔹 Kriyaman = Arrows you're crafting right now

Each thought is a seed.
Each act is an arrow.

👉 You’re living the past.. and shaping the future — at once.Image
📌 Can karma be erased?

Yes.. but only through realization.

👉 Jnana Yoga (Self-knowledge) burns Sanchita Karma
👉 Bhakti Yoga (surrender to God) neutralizes Kriyamana Karma
👉 But Prarabdha Karma must be lived through.. with detachment

No shortcuts. But many paths.Image
Image
📌 How to stop creating karma?

By acting without ego or desire.

🔹 Shree Krishna says in Bhagavad Gita 3.9:

“Work must be done as a sacrifice to the God.
Otherwise, it binds one to this world.”

👉 This is Karma Yoga... action with detachment.

"Do your duty, but don’t cling to the results."Image
👉 Here's The Real Secret...

Karma binds only when you think: “I am the doer.”

Once you realize: “I am not the body or the mind.. I am pure Consciousness” — karma loses its grip.

The arrow may hit the body.
But the Self remains untouched.Image
🔹 Adi Shankaracharya writes in Vivekachudamani:

“For the one who has realized the Self, there is no bondage, even though karma may remain...
Just as the movement of the fan continues for a while after it’s turned off.”

👉 Liberation is not escape. It’s inner freedom.Image
Image
👉 So if you're suffering, remember:

You're not being punished.
You're experiencing Prarabdha.. karma ready to bear fruit.

But your response to it... the choices you make now, become Kriyamana Karma.Image
Which type of karma do you think is most active in your life right now?

Copper Bottle & Morning Water: Why This Vedic Habit is Making a Comeback... 😱

In Kali Yuga's polluted times, our rishis gifted us Tamra Jal... water stored in copper.

This ancient ritual is exploding again... here's why it's pure Vedic science, not trend.

A Thread 🧵Image
📌 What is Tamra Jal?

Fill a pure copper bottle with clean water at night.

> Leave it 6-8 hours (overnight).
> Copper ions leach in via oligodynamic effect... naturally charging the water.
> Drink first thing in morning on empty stomach.

👉 This is Usha Paana upgraded... flushes toxins, ignites Agni.Image
📌 Why Copper?

Charaka Samhita (Sutra Sthana) & Sushruta Samhita mention Tamra for cleansing water, treating skin/liver issues & as antimicrobial.

Ancient texts say copper purifies like fire... kills bacteria, viruses & makes water pure.

👉 Modern studies too confirm... copper pots eliminate E.coli, Salmonella in 16 hrs! (PMC research)Image

📌 Dharma – Righteousness, Duty, Purpose

Living in harmony with cosmic order (Rta), serving family, society & self truthfully.

🔹 Ayurveda supports Dharma by building clarity & strength:

> Dinacharya (daily routine) aligns you with nature's rhythm
> Sattvic diet & ahimsa in food choices
> Pranayama & meditation to discern right action

👉 Strong Agni & balanced doshas = clear intellect to follow Dharma without confusion.Image
Image
📌 Artha – Ethical Prosperity & Security

Wealth, resources, stability... not greed, but enough to sustain dharma & life.

🔹 Ayurveda enables Artha by:

> Optimizing energy (Ojas) for productive work
> Rasayana herbs for vitality & longevity
> Seasonal Ritucharya to prevent illness that drains resources

👉 Healthy body = sustained effort → ethical earning & abundance without burnout.Image

The 5 Pillars of Ayurvedic Lifestyle... 😱

Brihat Trayi: Charaka Samhita, Sushruta Samhita, Ashtanga Hridaya... gives blueprint for true health.

A Thread — 🧵Image
📌 Pillar 1: Ahara (Proper Diet & Nourishment)

Charaka calls food the Mahabheshaja (greatest medicine). Eat according to Prakriti, season, Agni & 6 tastes (Shad Rasa).

Take biggest meal at midday, Eat warm & fresh, Do mindful chewing, And avoid opposites (Viruddha-Ahara).

> Ahara builds Dhatus → Ojas.
> Eat sattvic, seasonal... your body becomes prana-filled.Image
📌 Pillar 2: Vihara (Lifestyle & Daily Conduct)

Vagbhata & Charaka emphasize harmonious living with nature.

Dinacharya: Wake Brahma Muhurta, Abhyanga, exercise, hygiene.

> Avoid excess... balance Rajas/Tamas with Sattva.

7 Layers at Which Karma Operates Simultaneously... 😱

In Sanātana Dharma, Karma isn't linear fate... it's a multi-dimensional force rippling through your existence RIGHT NOW.

From gross body to causal seed, karma imprints & fructifies across 7 layers at once.

A Thread — 🧵Image
📌 Layer 1: Sthula Sharira (Gross/Physical Body) – Annamaya Kosha

Karma manifests here as your birth body, health, lifespan & environment (Prarabdha).

— Past actions determine physical form, doshas, diseases.
— Current actions (diet, exercise, ahimsa) create new karma affecting this layer instantly.

👉 Your body is karma's visible fruit. Heal it sattvically!Image
📌 Layer 2: Pranamaya Kosha (Vital Energy/Prana Layer)

Subtle vital force... nadis, prana vayus, breath.

Karma here shows as energy blocks, vitality levels, chronic fatigue or exuberance.

👉 Pranayama, yoga asanas burn old karma & prevent new accumulation.Image

9 Rules of Eating from Charaka Samhita 😱

Acharya Charaka didn't just list foods... he gave the science of how to eat for lifelong health.

In Vimana Sthana, he explains Ahara Vidhi Vidhana... rules that ignite Agni, prevent Ama, balance doshas & build Ojas.

A Thread — 🧵Image
📌 Rule 1: Eat Ushnam (Warm/Hot food)

Food should be warm when eaten.

👉 Why? It tastes better, stimulates Agni quickly, digests fast, moves Vata downward & clears Kapha.

Cold food weakens fire & creates toxins.Image
📌 Rule 2: Eat in Ishte Deshe & with Ishta Upakaranam (Pleasant place with all utensils)

Consume in a clean, comfortable, pleasing environment... with proper seat, vessels, company & accessories.

A disturbed or unclean place agitates mind... weakens digestion. Make your dining spot sattvic & sacred.Image

7 Ayurvedic Habits That Reprogram Your Body Clock... 😱

In Ayurveda, your body runs on nature's rhythm... Align with Dinacharya (daily routine) & sync with the sun to fix sleep, energy, digestion & doshas.

A Thread — 🧵Image
Image
Image
Image
📌 Habit 1: Wake up during Brahma Muhurta (before sunrise)

Rise ~96 min before sunrise (around 4-5:30 AM depending on season).

This Vata-dominant time brings clarity, lightness & spiritual energy. Sleeping into Kapha time (6-10 AM) makes you heavy & dull.

Wake early = reprogrammed circadian rhythm from day 1.Image
📌 Habit 2: Drink warm water first thing (Ushnodaka)

Start with 1-2 glasses of warm (or room-temp) water... ideally from a copper vessel stored overnight.

It flushes toxins, ignites Agni (digestive fire), stimulates bowels & signals "day mode" to your body clock.

Skip tea/coffee on empty stomach... it disrupts more than it helps.Image
