What is Karma made of? 😱

Not all karma is equal.

— Some get erased in seconds.
— Some bind you for lifetimes.
— Some even continue after you’re dead.

Let’s explore the 3 types of Karma.. and what Hinduism really says.

A Thread 🧵Image
Karma literally means “action” — but in Hinduism, it means more:

👉 Action + Intention + Consequence.

Every thought, word, and deed.. done with ego or attachment, leaves an imprint on your soul.

That’s karma. And it doesn’t disappear when you die.Image
📌 There are 3 types of Karma mentioned in Hindu texts like:

• Yoga Vasistha
• Brahma Sutras
• Bhagavad Gita
• Patanjali Yoga Sutras
• Vivekachudamani

👉 Each type binds you in a different way.. and must be handled differently.Image

📌 Sanchita Karma – The Accumulated Load

This is the entire stockpile of karmas from all your past lives. The infinite ledger you've built over countless births.

It includes:
— Good karmas (punya)
— Bad karmas (paap)
— Mixed karmas
— Unmanifest karmas

👉 You don’t suffer all your karmas in one birth.. only a part is selected.Image
🔹 Swami Sivananda writes:

“Sanchita Karma is like arrows in a quiver. From this, Prarabdha is drawn.. like the arrow already shot.”

👉 It’s your karmic bank balance. And most of us have been accumulating it for lifetimes.Image
📌 Prarabdha Karma – The Karma That Has Sprouted

This is the activated part of Sanchita Karma that’s ripe to bear fruit now.

It decides:

— Your birth
— Your family
— Body, gender, appearance
— Major joys and major sufferings
— Even the time and manner of death

It has already begun.. and must be burned through by living it out.

👉 Even enlightened beings cannot escape it completely.Image
🔹 As per the Yoga Vasistha:

“Prarabdha must be exhausted only through experience. No other method can destroy it once it has begun.”

Even Jnana (Self-knowledge) doesn’t erase it.. it only removes your identification with it.Image
👉 That's why even realized souls still appear to age, fall sick, or die.

Their body plays out its Prarabdha Karma... even if the soul is free.

— Ramana Maharshi still got cancer.
— Shree Krishna still got hit by an arrow.

🔹 Freedom from karma doesn't mean escaping life.. it means transcending attachment to it.Image
Image
📌 Kriyamana Karma (or Agami Karma) – The Karma You're Creating Now

This is your free will in action.

Every conscious act.. every word, every choice.. adds new karma.

👉 This karma may bear fruit in:

— This life (immediate)
— Future lives (delayed)
— Or even affect your children (transgenerational)

You’re writing your future destiny right now.Image
🔹 Patanjali Yoga Sutras (2.12) says:

“The reservoir of karmas has its roots in afflictions and is experienced in visible or invisible births.”

So your Kriyamana karma can extend far beyond your current life.

👉 This is why intentions matter even more than actions.Image
Image
Think of it like this:

🔹 Sanchita = All arrows you've collected in lifetimes
🔹 Prarabdha = The arrow already fired.. must strike
🔹 Kriyaman = Arrows you're crafting right now

Each thought is a seed.
Each act is an arrow.

👉 You’re living the past.. and shaping the future — at once.Image
📌 Can karma be erased?

Yes.. but only through realization.

👉 Jnana Yoga (Self-knowledge) burns Sanchita Karma
👉 Bhakti Yoga (surrender to God) neutralizes Kriyamana Karma
👉 But Prarabdha Karma must be lived through.. with detachment

No shortcuts. But many paths.Image
Image
📌 How to stop creating karma?

By acting without ego or desire.

🔹 Shree Krishna says in Bhagavad Gita 3.9:

“Work must be done as a sacrifice to the God.
Otherwise, it binds one to this world.”

👉 This is Karma Yoga... action with detachment.

"Do your duty, but don’t cling to the results."Image
👉 Here's The Real Secret...

Karma binds only when you think: “I am the doer.”

Once you realize: “I am not the body or the mind.. I am pure Consciousness” — karma loses its grip.

The arrow may hit the body.
But the Self remains untouched.Image
🔹 Adi Shankaracharya writes in Vivekachudamani:

“For the one who has realized the Self, there is no bondage, even though karma may remain...
Just as the movement of the fan continues for a while after it’s turned off.”

👉 Liberation is not escape. It’s inner freedom.Image
Image
👉 So if you're suffering, remember:

You're not being punished.
You're experiencing Prarabdha.. karma ready to bear fruit.

But your response to it... the choices you make now, become Kriyamana Karma.Image
Which type of karma do you think is most active in your life right now?

10 Times Ancient Hindu Texts Predicted Modern Science 😱

— Heliocentrism.
— Atomism.
— Multiverse.
— Black holes.

Hindu texts mentioned them thousands of years ago. Don’t believe me?

Read this 🧵Image
📌 Heliocentrism – Sun is the center of the Solar System

“This earth is devoid of hands and legs, yet it moves ahead. All the objects over the earth also move with it. It moves around the sun.”
— Rig Veda 10.22.14

Long before Copernicus (1543), the Vedas declared that Earth moves around the Sun... not the other way around.Image
Image
📌 Earth is Round

"The Earth is spherical. People at different parts stand upright. The celestial sphere appears the same to all, though they are on different sides of the globe."
— Surya Siddhanta 12.53–55

This implies a spherical Earth.. Centuries before Western thinkers proposed it.Image

What Happens When You Die – According to Garuda Purana 😱

Western science ends at death.
But Hinduism begins after it.

Here’s what the Garuda Purana... the text recited at funerals — says about death, the soul’s journey, and beyond.

A Thread 🧵Image
📌 What is the Garuda Purana?

— It is One of the 18 Mahapuranas.
— It was Spoken by Bhagavan Vishnu to Garuda (his vahana).
— It focuses on death, afterlife, karma, and liberation

👉 It’s recited after someone passes away to help the soul find peace.Image
📌 The Moment of Death

As per Garuda Purana:

“The body falls like a worn-out garment.
The soul (jīvātmā) leaves, carrying the imprints of all its karma.”

🔹 The senses withdraw
🔹 Life prana exits through a nadi (energy channel)
🔹 The last thought plays a huge role in the next birth

👉 That’s why chanting God’s name at death is considered vital.Image

Shatkriyakala: The 6 Stages of Disease Before It Becomes Chronic 😱

One of Ayurveda's most advanced diagnostic tools.. Shatkriyakala, maps how diseases unfold step by step, before symptoms even show.

It’s not just ancient.. it's next-gen preventive medicine.

A Thread 🧵Image
📌 What is Shatkriyakala?

Shat = six,
Kriya = action,
Kala = time/phase.

It’s the 6 stages of disease development, showing how imbalanced doshas evolve.. from silent accumulation to chronic illness.

Catch the imbalance early, heal deeply.

Let's explore them one-by-one.. 👇Image
📌 Sanchaya (Accumulation)

“Doshas start accumulating in their own sites.”

— Vata in large intestine
— Pitta in small intestine
— Kapha in stomach

This stage is silent. You may feel heaviness, dullness, or mild discomfort.

👉 No disease yet. But imbalance has begun.

➡️ Ayurvedic action: Langhana (lightening), dietary changesImage

The 9 Obstacles That Block You From Enlightenment – According to Patanjali 😱

Feeling lazy?
Restless?
Doubting yourself?

👉 Rishi Patanjali listed all 9 obstacles that block spiritual growth, 2,500+ years ago.. and gave precise antidotes to each.

Read this thread 🧵Image
📌 The Yogic Map of the Mind

In the Yoga Sūtras, Patanjali wasn’t just teaching postures.

👉 He was giving a scientific framework of human consciousness.

And he identified 9 specific inner obstacles (Antarayas) that every seeker must cross.

They’re as real today as they were 2,500 years ago.Image
Image
📌 Obstacle 1: Vyādhi (Disease or Illness)

The journey begins with the body.

When the body is in pain or disease, it pulls awareness down.

Energy that could be used for dhyāna (meditation) gets consumed in managing discomfort.

👉 Antidote: Balanced food, sleep, āyurvedic care, and āsana-prāṇāyāma.Image

The Secret of ‘Indriya Nigraha’ — Rishi-Level Control Over Senses = Superhuman Powers 😱

What if I told you that mastering your 5 senses could unlock real Siddhis... powers like:

• Hearing distant sounds
• Remembering past lives
• Speed like wind
• Levitation

A Thread 🧵Image
📌 What is Indriya Nigraha?

Indriya = The senses
Nigraha = Restraint or mastery

It’s not suppression.. it’s mastery.

👉 In Vedic tradition, the senses are powerful tools, but if left uncontrolled, they bind us to desire and illusion (Māyā).

Mastery = Liberation & Power.Image
📌 The 5 Jnanendriyas (Sense Organs):

According to the Upanishads, we perceive the world through:

• Shrotra (hearing)
• Tvak (touch)
• Chakshu (sight)
• Jihvā (taste)
• Ghrāṇa (smell)

And the 5 Karmendriyas (organs of action): Speech, hands, feet, excretion, reproduction.

👉 Both must be mastered.Image
