I live in a city of ~300k and I’m from a city with ~10k population. I went to college at a school with ~1200 students in a city of about 50k (at the time)….
I’m uncertain your assertions hold up by at least my own observations.
One of the things I believe people such as yourself have often overlooked is that, at least with millennials, the demographics for certain morals, attitudes on life, etc changed around 2010 (In the US anyway…) that has split the dating market ever since for people in our cohort.
It used to be that the split between voting demographics was about 50/50 (50% republican, 50% democrat) over all. And this was fairly steady state. Overall the way you voted was not really to reflective of what set of morals you subscribe to, views on life, etc as for the most part there weren’t a lot of differences between the two parties or the country writ large. The differences were mostly about approach. Things were so evenly split that this was mostly true even if you broke it down by sex.
Circa 2008-2010 that all changed. Rapidly. Millennial women broke with millennial men in rapid fashion (20-30pt gap which has only increased). And increasingly the views of either party became a proxy for the set of morals you subscribe to and whole host of other things relevant to dating which became indirectly reflected in your party choice. That’s not a judgment. I have my opinions, I’m just saying this appears to have happened.
So what that means is that roughly 70% of millennial women identified as not just a little left wing, but VERY left wing and millennial men basically stayed the same (50/50 split).
So in that environment you have 50% of men going after 70% of women. They have their pick.
Then you have the other 50% of men going after 20-30% of the remainder. Their pool was cut roughly in half.
From the female perspective you have 70% of women chasing 50% of men. Not enough to go around.
And the other 20-30% of women are chasing 50% of men. They have their pick basically.
My opinion is for millennials nearly all the dating problems with respect to people not finding each other stem from this mismatch. Particularly when you add in geographic constraints and other things which complicate the probability of your meeting someone compatible.

For a conservative women your odds are pretty good since conservative men outnumber number you by about 30%.
This is why, by the way, I take conservative women’s take on difficulties in dating with a grain of salt.
