I’m basically completely politically blackpilled atp. I don’t think we are going to defeat neofascism. I know for a fact liberals can’t fight it and I think pretending they can is just encouraging people to delay acting to protect themselves. It’s going to be barbarism.

Even some socialists are basically adopting the “win every election forever” strategy of fighting fascism. The left is not ascendant enough to counter these forces & liberals are aligning more w fascism it day. Maybe we eventually defeat fascism but not until after it takes over

Starting to think all the failures of the left to be honest about this is just willful delusion. So you elect Harris, then what? You don’t have an answer. No one does. The institutions are broken and the people in power are incapable of action. Let’s be honest for once.

I was watching this Fox News segment on Springfield where they interviewed residents saying some of the most racist things I’ve ever heard in my life, and I was struck by how every one of them blamed their economic hardships on Haitians. And I blame democrats for this 1/

Any assessment of how we got here that doesn’t include mention of the embrace of neoliberalism by BOTH right wing parties is incomplete. Erosion of bare minimum standards of living creates a pressure cooker for radicalization and the 1st person (or party) to exploit that will win

This is where the harm reduction arguments fall flat. Dems have been fully onboard in stripping down our living standards to the bare bones and selling this country off to private equity for 50 years. They are active participants in creating the perfect storm for radicalization

Thread on AOC's disastrous livestream yesterday on antisemitism. The livestream begins with AOC introducing Stacy Burdett and Amy Spitalnick (both Zionists) as "foremost experts on antisemitism", setting the stage for them to define antisemitism for everyone.

Also notice how AOC hedges to say "Israeli government" not Israel, and uses qualifying words like inherently and necessarily

AOC introduces Amy Spitalick who is the CEO of the JCPA, a lobbying group (more about that later) to talk about supposed antisemitism on the left. Amy says antisemitism on the left is more painful than Charlottesville, that since 10/7 there has been a lot of antisemitism in progressive spaces. List of things she says are antisemitic while AOC nods along:

-Celebration of 10/7
-Embrace of Hamas
-Chanting for another 10/7
-Calling for Israel to be wiped off the face of the earth
-Targeting Jewish institutions (zionist institutions)
-Exclusion of Zionists from events
-BDS
-Banning Hillel on campus
