🚨 CONGRESS JUST KILLED THE RULES THAT MADE CARS UGLY 🚗💥

For 50 years, D.C. fuel-economy mandates forced automakers into cookie-cutter designs—turning every SUV and crossover into the same boring blob.

Now, those rules are GONE.

It’s time to Make Cars Beautiful Again. 🧵👇 Image
2/ The culprit? Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) standards, born in 1975 after the oil embargo.

They didn’t just push fuel efficiency—they dictated design.

Every angle, height, and slope of your car was regulated in Washington. Image
3/ Here’s the trick Congress just pulled:

You can’t repeal CAFE in a budget bill.

So in July’s One Big Beautiful Bill Act, Section 40006 quietly eliminated the civil penalty for breaking CAFE.

No penalty = no enforcement.

CAFE is dead.

rodmartin.org/p/victory-trum…
4/ To dodge CAFE rules, automakers built SUVs that legally counted as “off-highway” vehicles—whether they ever left the pavement or not.

That meant:

• 4WD or 6,000+ lbs weight
• Steep bumper angles
• Extra ground clearance

Design creativity? Dead. Image
5/ Passenger cars got the same treatment.

Pedestrian-safety rules dictated hood slope, bumper height, and crumple zones.

End result? A sea of nearly identical sedans. Image
6/ Are these rules still needed? Nope.

Today’s cars come with:

• Backup cameras (mandatory since 2018)
• Lane-departure & blind-spot warnings
• Automatic emergency braking (mandatory by 2029)

Tech saves lives—ugly design doesn’t. Image
7/ Example: Since 2013, Volvo’s “Pedestrian & Cyclist Detection” brakes have automatically stopped for people who dart out.

Now, even my Nest doorbell recognizes humans.

If AI can do that, your car can too—without forcing it to look like a bloated soap bar. Image
8/ With CAFE dead, energy prices + consumer choice will drive fuel efficiency, not bureaucrats.

Free markets = better design.

It’s time to ditch 50-year-old rules, free the auto industry, and un-frunk our cars. Image
Image
9/ Tail fins? Maybe not.

But bold, unique, beautiful cars? Absolutely.

CAFE is gone. The market is free. Now let the designers go wild.

It’s time to Make Cars Beautiful Again. 🚗🇺🇸 Image

🚨 BREAKING: President Trump has canceled his upcoming meeting with Xi Jinping and announced 100% tariffs on Chinese goods starting Nov. 1.

His reason? Beijing just imposed global export controls on rare earths — the materials that power the modern world. 🧵👇 Image
2/ China controls 92% of rare earth refining — metals essential for EVs, semiconductors, fighter jets, & submarines.

Beijing is weaponizing that — sending letters to nations warning it’ll restrict exports on “virtually anything.”

Trump called it “sinister and hostile.” ⚠️ Image
3/ “They’re holding the world captive,” Trump said.

But he’s striking back:

💥 100% tariffs on all Chinese imports starting Nov. 1
💥 New U.S. countermeasures against Chinese trade blackmail
💥 Full economic response to defend U.S. supply chains & sovereignty 🇺🇸Image

🚨 America’s energy comeback is official.

Congress just voted to repeal Biden’s mining and drilling bans in Alaska, Montana, and North Dakota.

The bills now go to President Trump’s desk — where they’ll be signed into law within days. 🇺🇸💪

It's long overdue. 🧵👇 Image
2/ The Senate passed three resolutions:

✅ H.J. Res. 104 – Montana
✅ H.J. Res. 105 – North Dakota
✅ H.J. Res. 106 – Alaska

Each overturns Biden-era “land management” rules that shut down coal, oil, and mineral development across millions of acres for no good reason.

Trump will restore them all. 🔥Image
3/ In Montana, Sen. Steve Daines said his bill ends Biden’s “disastrous” coal ban and unlocks Montana’s full energy potential.

Eastern Montana will see new coal leasing and mining jobs — fueling both local economies and U.S. manufacturing.

🇺🇸 “We’re bringing mining back.” Image

🇮🇱🇺🇸 BREAKING: Celebrations erupt across Israel and Gaza.

Trump’s 20-point peace plan has reached its first major breakthrough: agreement for Hamas to release all Israeli hostages in exchange for Palestinian prisoners — with a ceasefire to follow.

History is happening. 🧵👇 Image
2/ After talks in Egypt, both sides agreed to the first phase.

📦 All 48 remaining Israeli hostages will be freed within days.
💥 Hundreds of Palestinian prisoners will be released.
🕊️ A formal ceasefire follows Israel’s ratification tomorrow.

Families are calling Trump a peacemaker.Image
3/ One hostage’s wife wrote on X:

“My heart is overflowing with gratitude... Thank you, President Trump.”

At Tel Aviv’s Hostages Square, Israelis chanted “Thank you Trump! Thank you Netanyahu!”

That's EIGHT peace deals in eight months for Donald Trump. Image

🚨 Live by the sword, die by the sword.

New York AG Letitia James — who spent years failing to destroy Donald Trump for mortgage fraud — has now been indicted by a federal grand jury for...mortgage fraud.

The same woman who weaponized the law now faces justice herself. 🧵👇 Image
2/ The indictment stems from an investigation into fraudulent mortgage filings.

James falsely claimed her Norfolk, Virginia home was her primary residence — to score a lower interest rate on a government-backed loan.

She allegedly lied on bank documents and property records. Image
3/ Federal Housing Finance Agency chief Bill Pulte first blew the whistle, alleging James may have also misrepresented a Brooklyn property to qualify for federal assistance.

He wrote:

“Letitia James falsified documents to obtain favorable terms and government-backed loans.” Image

🚨 Antifa claims it's “anti-fascist.”

In reality, it traces directly to a Communist front that helped Hitler rise to power.

Yes — the original Antifa worked with the Nazis to destroy capitalism and crush moderate opposition.

Nothing's changed. Not even the symbols.🧵 Image
Image
2/ When they tell you who they are, you should listen.

🇩🇪 Antifa began in 1932 as Antifaschistische Aktion, the Communist Party (KPD)'s terror wing.

Their target? Not the Nazis. The pro-democracy parties.

They called them “social fascists,” sabotaged them & helped Hitler win. Image
3/ The Communists saw all rivals—even other leftists—as “fascists.”

In 1931, they teamed up with the Nazis to topple Prussia’s democratic government.

One year later, Hitler seized full power.

The “anti-fascists” had paved the road to totalitarianism. Image

THREAD: Israel was once a socialist welfare case—ration cards, price controls, total state control.

Today it’s a free-market superpower, richer per capita than Britain, France, or Japan.

What changed?

One man—and one moral choice. 🧵 Image
2/ For its first several decades, Israel was a Socialist backwater.

It's people were brilliant and hardworking, but poor, because of the poor choices of their government.

Jerusalem subsisted on foreign aid. Poverty ruled. Inflation hit 400%

Then everything changed. Image
3/ A young Benjamin Netanyahu saw what Socialism had done: dependency, inflation, and brain drain.

Educated at MIT, seasoned on Wall Street, he believed Israel could be the Singapore of the Middle East.

He set out to replace envy with admiration—and bureaucracy with freedom.Image
