Something seems a bit off to me about the UK Covid-19 Inquiry. I think many things are being covered up.
I seek to explain one of them below…

The Inquiry must have the minutes from all IPC Cell meetings. 13 sets of minutes have been released to the public (and they had to be dragged out by FoI requests against strong resistance from the authorities). Even the Information Commissioner’s Office had to get involved.
There must have been more than 13 meetings of the IPC Cell.
I asked ChatGPT.
The response was that there would have been a maximum of 237 meetings, a minimum of 105, with a best estimate of 171 meetings.
So where are the other meeting minutes?
Why are the other IPC Cell meeting minutes being kept secret?
SAGE, NERVTAG, ACDP and others all openly published their minutes in a relatively timely manner. Yet the secretive IPC Cell failed to publish any of their own volition, and still haven’t.
If the UK Covid-19 Inquiry does indeed have all the minutes, what is being covered up?
Some minutes were released to core participants at very short notice before the oral evidence of Dr Lisa Ritchie.
This late release compromised the ability of core participants properly to question that witness about the IPC guidance.
This was clearly unfair, as was the Chair’s refusal to recall Ritchie at a later date to face such questions.
So what is going on?
The Inquiry Chair, Baroness Hallett, must conduct the Inquiry in compliance with duties imposed on her by section 17(3) of the Inquiries Act 2005: ‘In making any decision as to the procedure or conduct of an inquiry, the chairman must act with fairness’.
I am so excited about this announcement by @wesstreeting and @uklabour because it means two things have to happen to make it a reality. I’ll explain in a thread…
2. Firstly, it requires a Labour Government. That would make me happy because the country is crying out for change after 14 years of chaos, a crashed economy and five Prime Ministers, each one being more incompetent than the last.
3. And secondly it requires that the incoming Labour Government will have to take the impacts on our health of repeated infections with SARS-CoV-2 virus. Because they won’t be able to meet their target unless they do. Why’s that, I hear you ask…
