Supt report, high school experience great start for class of 2029; also the middle school experience first time happened today, additional sessions by grade this week
27 teachers hired, 5 open spots currently

Start dates for school opening on web page, principals also sending out relevant info to parents as school approaches
The 27 hires are all backfills for authorized positions per the revised budgets not Net New positions
5 openings remaining is a pretty good number as I recall from prior years
Lucas answers Q on special ed increase costs due to move ins where students not part of the realm came in and require special services
Next up Summer Learning Program
1281 for summer lifelong learning (approx 25%) of district
Catch up program had 248 invited, 161 participated
Overall holding strong some slightly more or less than prior years

Primary discussion on this agenda is fees, recommendation to keep the current 3 tier approach with the minor adjustment of moving wrestling from Tier 3 to Tier 2, from $350 to 500, Tier 1 remains at $1000. Fes can't be reduced due to the shortage of revenue failed override
