This might be the most underrated AI skill of 2025:

JSON prompting.

It turns your LLMs like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude into consistent, structured agents no hallucinations, no mess.

Here’s how it works (with copy-paste templates):
first…what is json prompt writing?

it's just putting your prompt inside a structured format.
like this:

{
"task": "summarize this article",
"audience": "college students",
"length": "100 words",
"tone": "curious"
}

not english.
not vibes.
just instructions, like a form
why does it work so well?

llms don’t "understand" language the way we do.
they follow patterns and structure.
and json is ultra-structured.
it leaves no ambiguity.

they don’t have to guess what you mean.
you’re telling them exactly what you want.
think of it like this:

regular prompt:

can you write a tweet about dopamine detox?

json-style:

{
"task": "write a tweet",
"topic": "dopamine detox",
"style": "viral",
"length": "under 280 characters"
}

see the difference?
clear. modular. machine-readable. Image
want even sharper outputs?

you can nest the json.

{
"task": "write a thread",
"platform": "twitter",
"structure": {
"hook": "strong, short, curiosity-driven",
"body": "3 core insights with examples",
"cta": "ask a question to spark replies"
},
"topic": "founder productivity systems"
}

you just turned prompt spaghetti into clean code.Image
so how do you write json prompts?

3 basic rules:

- use key-value pairs
- be explicit
- use nested objects for structure

example:

{
"task": "generate a list",
"topic": "books that improve thinking",
"audience": "young entrepreneurs",
"output_format": "markdown bullets"

}
this works across all major models.

chatgpt? yes.
claude? thrives on it.
gemini? understands structure well.
mistral, gpt-4o, etc? all love structured input.

some even prefer it.
a quick comparison to prove it:

normal prompt:

recommend books that help me think clearer

json prompt:

{
"task": "recommend books",
"topic": "thinking clearly",
"audience": "entrepreneurs",
"output_format": "list of 5 with one-sentence summaries"
}

run both.
the second is crisper, clearer, and more relevant.Image
here's one you can try in Veo 3 right now:

simple prompt:

show me a product demo style video of a fitness app
json version:

{
"task": "generate a video",
"video_type": "product demo",
"theme": "fitness app",
"duration": "8 seconds",
"tone": "energetic and sleek",
"visual_style": "clean UI, fast transitions"
}

watch how much better the output and exact.
why this works:

models like gpt are trained on code, docs, apis, and structured data.
json looks like the stuff they were fed.
so they treat it as higher-signal.

the less they have to guess, the better the result.
another example:

bad prompt:

write me a cold email that converts

better (json):

{
"task": "write cold email",
"audience": "SaaS founders",
"product": "ai sales automation tool",
"goal": "book a 15-minute call",
"tone": "friendly but confident"
}

gets straight to the point.
every word earns its place.
bonus: you can even write inside the json

like this:

{
"task": "improve writing",
"input": "Our team is proud to announce the next chapter of our journey.",
"goal": "make it more vivid and emotional",
"audience": "customers",
"tone": "authentic and inspiring"
}

clean. surgical. upgradeable.
want to write content that always hits?

use this json skeleton:

{
"task": "write content",
"platform": "twitter",
"structure": {
"hook": "short, punchy, curiosity-driven",
"point": "3-5 insights, each 2-3 sentences",
"action": "one question to spark replies"
},
"topic": "your topic here",
"tone": "casual and smart"
}

it works for almost anything.
here are 5 high-leverage use cases people use AI for daily — with json templates:

you can copy/paste these and just swap out the input.
plug-and-play style.
1. generate videos with voice (e.g. Veo 3)

{
"task": "generate video",
"platform": "Veo",
"video_type": "explainer",
"topic": "how to start a dropshipping store",
"duration": "60 seconds",
"voiceover": {
"style": "calm and confident",
"accent": "US English"
},
"visual_style": "modern, clean, fast cuts"
}
2. generate content (for social, blogs, emails, etc)

{
"task": "write content",
"platform": "twitter",
"structure": {
"hook": "short, curiosity-driven",
"body": "3 insights with smooth flow",
"action": "1 strong question"
},
"topic": "how to stay focused as a solo founder",
"tone": "relatable and smart"
}
3. write or debug code

{
"task": "write code",
"language": "python",
"goal": "build a script that renames all files in a folder",
"constraints": ["must work on MacOS", "include comments"],
"output_format": "code only, no explanation"
}
4. turn raw ideas into a business/brand strategy

{
"task": "act as brand consultant",
"client": "early-stage AI tool",
"goal": "define clear positioning",
"deliverables": ["1-liner", "target audience", "3 key differentiators"],
"tone": "simple and strategic"
}
5. turn information into consulting deliverables

{
"task": "create consulting doc",
"input": "paste research or notes here",
"client": "retail ecommerce brand",
"deliverables": ["SWOT analysis", "growth roadmap", "3 quick wins"],
"output_format": "markdown",
"tone": "sharp and practical"
}
big tip:

json makes prompt chaining easier.
you can pass outputs as inputs to the next task.
llms understand the “steps” like an api.
each step has a key, each value is an instruction.
when you don’t want json?

if your goal is creativity, chaos, or surprise.
like dream journaling.
storytelling for kids.
or idea generation without constraints.

json = structure
freeform = chaos

choose based on outcome.
json works because it speaks machine language
but it also helps you think clearly.

you define the goal, structure, audience, format upfront.
no back-and-forth.
no 5 tries to get it right.
he shift is this:

stop “asking” the ai for stuff.
start specifying exactly what you want.
like a builder giving a blueprint.
not a poet throwing vibes.
remember:

- json is just structured prompting
- it gives clarity to both you and the model
- it works across tools, models, and formats
- it makes you think like an architect
- and it’s shockingly easy to learn
everyone talks about "prompt engineering"
but 90% of results come from
clear structure

GPT-5 is super powerful.

But 99% of people don't know how to use it.

So here are 10 prompts that have transformed my day-to-day life and that could do the same for you:
1. Learn anything from a 20-year expert even if you're clueless

"Pretend you are an expert with 20 years of experience in {industry/topic}. Break down the core principles a total beginner must understand. Use analogies, step-by-step logic, and simplify everything like I’m 5."
2. Brutally honest thought partner to sharpen your thinking

"Act as my personal thought partner. I’ll describe {my idea/problem}, and I want you to question every assumption, point out blind spots, and help me evolve it into something 10x better."

How to build a research department in 10 seconds.

Step 1: Open ChatGPT, Gemini, or Claude.
Step 2: Copy/paste this mega prompt.

That's it. You now have a world-class research team on demand.

Here's the prompt: Image
First, what does a great researcher actually do?

Only 3 things:

1. Understand a broad topic deeply
2. Break it into its key components
3. Deliver clear, structured insights

AI can now do all of that faster, cheaper, and at scale.
Here’s the prompt I use:

"I want you to act as an elite research analyst with deep experience in synthesizing complex information into clear, concise insights.

Your task is to conduct a comprehensive research breakdown on the following topic:

[ Insert your topic here ]

Here’s how I want you to proceed:

1. Start with a brief, plain-English overview of the topic.
2. Break the topic into 3–5 major sub-topics or components.
3. For each sub-topic, provide:
- A short definition or explanation
- Key facts, trends, or recent developments
- Any major debates or differing perspectives
4. Include notable data, statistics, or real-world examples where relevant.
5. Recommend 3–5 high-quality resources for further reading (articles, papers, videos, or tools).
6. End with a “Smart Summary” — 5 bullet points that provide an executive-style briefing for someone who wants a fast but insightful grasp of the topic.

Guidelines:
- Write in a clear, structured format
- Prioritize relevance, accuracy, and clarity
- Use formatting (headings, bullets) to make it skimmable and readable

Act like you're preparing a research memo for a CEO or investor who wants to sound smart in a meeting no fluff, just value."Image

Grok 4 is dangerously good.

But 99% of people are sleeping on what it can actually do.

I’ve used it to build apps, generate content, automate deep research, and more.

Here are 10 ways to use Grok 4 that feel like cheating: Image
1. Automated research reports (better than $100 k consultants)

Grok’s real-time web search and analytical reasoning let you replicate what McKinsey, Gartner, or Deloitte charge six figures for.

Prompt to use with Grok 4:

"You are a world-class strategy consultant trained by McKinsey, BCG, and Bain.
Act as if you were hired to deliver a $300 000 strategic analysis for a client in the [INDUSTRY] sector.

Mission
1. Analyze the current state of the [INDUSTRY] market.
2. Identify key trends, emerging threats, and disruptive innovations.
3. Map the top 3-5 competitors and benchmark their business models, strengths, weaknesses, pricing, distribution, and brand positioning.
4. Apply SWOT, Porter’s Five Forces, and value-chain analysis to assess risks and opportunities.
5. Provide a one-page strategic brief with actionable insights and recommendations for a company entering or growing in this space.

Return everything in concise bullet points or tables, ready to paste into slides. Think like a McKinsey partner preparing for a C-suite meeting.
"
2. Build interactive tools and apps without code

Describe your idea and Grok scaffolds the UI, logic, and deployment steps no coding required.

Prompt:

"You are a senior software architect who excels at building no-code and low-code systems with HTML, JavaScript, and Web APIs.

Task
Design a fully working interactive tool based on this idea:
[DESCRIBE YOUR TOOL IDEA]

Deliverables
1. A plain-English explanation of how the tool works.
2. A step-by-step plan to implement it with Grok or a no-code platform.
3. Exact HTML/CSS/JS code if relevant.
4. UX and design improvement tips.
5. Instructions to generate a shareable, embed-ready version.

Imagine you are shipping an MVP for a startup demo.
