From IRS Raid to Reliance Boardroom

Few know the real story of Anu Tandon and her family’s deep connections with the Ambani empire and India’s political establishment.

Her late husband, Sandeep Tandon, was an IRS officer who once raided and investigated Reliance in the early 1990s. Ironically, after retiring from the Enforcement Directorate, he himself joined Reliance as a top executive.

In 2007,Reliance faced allegations of insider trading through a company named MoTech Software. At that time,Anu Tandon was listed as Director of the firm. She resigned from the company, entered politics through the Congress Party,went on to become a Member of Parliament from UP.

Deep Links With Congress and Ambani
Anu Tandon is known to be very close to the Gandhi family. She also holds a prominent position as a trustee of Ambani’s think tank, the Observer Research Foundation. In 2020,she made a strategic political move,switching to the Samajwadi Party.

Her sons, Shalin N. Tandon and Sachin Tandon, are also associated with Reliance, further cementing the family’s corporate-political nexus.

The Controversial Case of Sachin Tandon

The younger son, Sachin Tandon, has courted controversy multiple times.

Despite calling himself an atheist, he once admitted that he wanted to shout “Allahu Akbar” during SP’s victory celebrations when asked by a security guard about the flag on his car.

On social media, Sachin has:

Mocked Hindu beliefs.

Abused CM Yogi Adityanath, Home Minister Amit Shah, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Praised Muhammad Zubair, a propagandist frequently accused of running anti-Hindu campaigns.

Spread misinformation during the CAA protests, the Covid crisis, and the farmers’ protest.

Meanwhile, his mother Anu Tandon is often seen with Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand, a controversial figure aligned indirectly with Congress and the SP. His position as Shankaracharya of Jyotish Peeth was legally challenged by Shankaracharya Swami Nishchalanand .

The Hypocrisy of the INDI Alliance

This double standard is striking. On one side, Rahul Gandhi and the INDI Alliance attack PM Modi, claiming he is too close to the Ambanis and Adanis. On the other hand, they deliberately suppress their own long-standing ties with Reliance.

Even Sachin Tandon himself has admitted that Reliance rose to global dominance under Congress policies, which added billions to Mukesh Ambani’s net worth.

Ambani, Adani, and the Hindenburg Plot

In recent years, the political winds shifted.

The PMO began openly supporting Adani more than Ambani.When Hindenburg Research, an American short-seller, attacked Adani in what many saw as an assault on the Indian economy, Ambani quietly bought Adani shares at rock-bottom prices.
Reports even suggest that during this episode,

Israeli cyber agencies hacked into Hindenburg servers and also tapped into devices belonging to Indian opposition leaders—including Rahul Gandhi—to expose their links with foreign-backed destabilization attempts during the 2024 general elections.

The Shadow of a Compromised Think Tank

The most alarming development is the alleged role of a compromised think tank (not ORF, but another one) that is now under scrutiny for:

Interfering in India’s foreign policy.

Running a parallel government by shaping narratives abroad.

Meddling in sensitive ties with the US, France, Russia, Mexico, Italy, Germany, and Nepal.

Exploiting communication gaps inside India’s security apparatus, including the Assam Rifles and even the Chief of Defence Staff’s office.

Oral complaints against this entity have already been raised with both the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) and the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).

Sources warn that this think tank is:

Snooping on politicians and IFS officers.

Using foreign conferences in Tokyo, Marseille, and Geneva as cover for influence operations.

Creating stress and anxiety within the highest levels of the Indian government for the past 8 months.

The Coming Crackdown

This interference is not just unethical—it is criminal and a direct threat to national sovereignty. A major crackdown is imminent.

The name of the think tank is being deliberately withheld as investigations continue.

But one thing is clear: this network of politics, corporations, and compromised institutions has been undermining India’s internal stability and foreign policy.
