Congressman Maxwell Frost and Congressman Darren Soto showed up unannounced to the ICE administrative office in Orlando ignoring all established protocols and demanded to gain access for "oversight."
Had these two politicians really been concerned about detainees, they would have done enough research to know that the ICE Orlando sub-office is not a detention facility.
Just like their fellow sanctuary politicians in other districts, they brought cameras and members of the media to get their five minutes of fame. Congressman Frost approached ICE personnel with hostility and thrust his foot in the door blocking it from being closed.
ICE leadership calmly escorted the two Congressmen inside the facility to a conference room to reiterate entry processes, before escorting them out of the building without a tour.
It’s time for the political stunts for fundraising emails to stop. Congressman Frost and Congressman Soto can rest assured ICE is taking excellent care of our office space and cubicles.
