Changes that were made and what didn't make it in the final cut of
#FantasticFourFirstSteps

Originally, the movie didn't open with Reed and Sue finding out about her pregnancy, but was instead the ABC special celebrating “Fantastic Four Day”

In the Final cut, the 4 were present when the curtain lifted at the Ted Gilbert show. Originally, they had already disappeared by then to deal with Red Ghost.

There was quite a bit more to Red Ghost and his apes. Red Ghost set up diversions to keep the 4 away so that he could steal their ship, but Reed figured that out. He hurries back to the Baxter building where he fights a bunch of the apes and then stops Red Ghost.

At one point, Sue gets info that Mole Man wants to start a revolt in Subterranea, so she turns invisible and sneaks up on him there to have a discussion with him.

The scene where Mole Man visits the Baxter Building later on in the movie is new and was not present in the original cut.

There were a lot of scenes taking place in the Baxter Building that were cut, especially in the lab/main control room. Most of which were just dialogue.

Some time after the people find out that the 4 will not sacrifice Franklin, Ben goes out for a night stroll and gets heckled at by some guys who run past him. He later finds Herbie's mangled body in that back alley they ran from. He brings Herbie home and the others are in shock.

There was supposed to be a scene of Reed visiting Red Ghost in prison and offering him a work release program, followed by a scene of him and his baboons building one of the teleportation bridges.

Galactus was supposed to briefly converse with the F4 in the final sequence when he realizes that they’ve laid out the teleportation bridge as bait for him.

The 2nd post credit scene was also originally part of the ABC special opening for the film.
