The beloved Mariam Abu Dagga left behind this will to her son. She was murdered today at Nasser Hospital while doing her journalistic work covering a prior airstrike on the hospital. Heartbroken. (1/4)
"Ghaith, you are the heart and soul of your mother. I want you to pray for me and not cry over me, so that I can remain happy. I want you to raise my head high, to work hard, excel, and be capable. I want you to become successful my beloved.”
"I want, my dear, that you don’t forget me. I used to do everything just to make you happy, to keep you joyful and comfortable, and to provide everything for you. And when you grow up, get married, and have a daughter — name her Maryam after me."
You are my love, my heart, my support, my soul, and my son whom I am proud of. I will always be happy hearing of your good reputation.
A trust I leave with you, Ghaith: your prayer, then your prayer, then your prayer, my dear."

"I [Maysoon, Ahmad Manasra’s mother] asked the lawyer to beg the judge & allow me to hug my son, or at least touch his hand. I didn’t touch him for seven years... He needs to feel my love, my worries, my care. I am his mother. But the judge refused. I then stood up... (1/3)
looked at the judge and started begging, “Let me just put my finger in that hole and touch his finger. Just let me squeeze my finger with my kiss through the hole.” And he agreed but told me to wait… and I started thanking the judge.... (2/3)
and I touched his finger. He kissed my finger, and started shivering and shivering and I told him that I more than love and worry about him and that he is with us, with us all the time. I did touch his finger and he touched mine." (3/3)
