Clinical trial update. As of today, it's been 28 days since I last took Retatrutide. I was asked to suspend the last three doses due to abnormal hepatic function labs, indicating liver damage, and CBC labs, indicating some form of internal bleeding and poss. infection. 1/6
I've had ultrasound and MRI, neither of which showed anything, and I otherwise have no symptoms. At today's clinic visit, they'll again draw about 15 vials and repeat UA and, hopefully, be able to tell me to resume dosing (though it would have to be at a blinded lower dose). 2/6
I'm desperately hopefully I can resume and complete the study, which was scheduled to end in November. My weight has been stable (169.3 lbs on day of last dose, 167.9 lbs this morning). BP has remained low (though trending just a bit higher SYS over the past week) 3/6
The big issue is the knee pain is coming back like gangbusters. I would REALLY like to have that mobility and lack of pain and stiffness back. 4/6
With a 6 day half-life, we're near homeopathy levels of drug left after 28 days, so I'm hoping we can conclude the labs are NOT due to the study drug if today's labs still show abnormalities. I have a hematology consult Tues to cont. to explore other poss. causes. 5/6
I'll cont. to exercise/watch what I eat while we figure it out. If anyone ever questions my willpower, it occurred to me as I packed the three unused injector pens for the missed doses, that I demonstrated superhuman willpower in not using them when they asked me to suspend! 6/6
