SCOOP: Dr. Sohan Dasgupta, is stepping down as the head of the Millennium Challenge Corporation.
He previously helped direct trade and economic security policy at DHS before joining MCC to transform it into an America First tool of economic statecraft.
He reformed that agency into a vital national security and foreign policy asset to counter the Chinese Communist Party with a keen focus on fixing the rare earth shortages America faces.
He tells me:
"Facing rising threats from adversaries, the United States must wield its economic might to secure its interests and ensure our prosperity. Our economic statecraft can harness unmatched financial strength to counter rivals, protect our economy, and reinforce American sovereignty."
As MCC’s leader, I was entrusted to drive its transformation into a powerhouse advancing American interests. I was fortunate to be able to discharge the mission of reshaping MCC to deliver tangible, direct benefits for our citizens through strategic grants to select countries. Steering this overhaul felt like navigating stormy seas, with every decision strengthening America’s economic foundation. MCC has become a wise, visionary investor in America’s future. Serving in this capacity has been among the greatest honors of my life—for which I thank the President and our Nation."
“In just a yearlong period, MCC’s crucial investments in Nepal, Côte d’Ivoire, Sierra Leone, Kosovo, and Mozambique generated $1.2 billion in new export markets for American goods. These projects, including 1,500 miles of highways and 2,000 megawatts of power capacity, opened doors for manufacturers like John Deere, creating 15,000 American jobs while countering adversarial influence. MCC’s $500 million Nepal investment is building a 200-mile electricity transmission line, thus enabling American firms to export $300 million in grid technology annually while countering China’s regional influence.”

🚨 Several “tough on China” GOP Congressmen are quietly backing a program that brings MORE Chinese nationals into America without going through normal visa checks.
@Jim_Jordan @BrianMastFL @RepTroyNehls — care to explain?
🧵🧵🧵
The EVS-TAP program lets Chinese nationals — even Chinese Communist Party members — get U.S. entry through the Northern Mariana Islands with virtually zero oversight.
These islands are U.S. territory.
Once in, they can buy American IDs and some have already tried to infiltrate Guam’s military bases, just 60 miles away.
King-Hinds names @Jim_Jordan as one of the biggest backers of the Chinese EVS-TAP visa scheme.
He even called her privately to celebrate. Why no mention of this to your base?
🚨 Why are researchers from Chinese Communist Party-run institutions advising the Fed?
Researchers from communist institutions with histories of espionage are listed as co-authors on papers with Fed employees.
Are taxpayers subsidizing this?
A paper presented as part of the Fed’s 2020 Finance and Economics Discussion Series was co-authored by John Rogers and Wenbin Wu.
Rogers was ultimately indicated for spying on behalf of China.
A 2016 paper featuring Fed Governor Justin Pierce - “Does Trade Liberalization with China Influence U.S.
Elections?” - included a researcher from Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
This CCP university was flagged by the Senate for espionage against the US.
Kim Kardashian attacked the LA ICE raids on Instagram Tuesday, but in 2019 the Kardashian family issued a statement praising ICE after it deported Kendall Jenner’s stalker to Canada.
⬇️⬇️⬇️
In 2019, ICE El Paso deported a Canadian who stalked Kendall Jenner. The Kardashians lauded ICE and LAPD’s “swift response and professionalism,” saying it restored their “peace of mind.” But now, as ICE deports criminal invaders harming everyday American families, Kim has decided it’s time to hop on the sanctimonious celebrity bandwagon criticizing the agency.
In addition to flipping her stance on ICE deportations in the statement, Kim – best known for her Instagram mirror selfies and 2003 s*x tape with “F*ck Them H*es” artist Ray J – described illegal alien criminals as her “neighbors.”
Unfortunately, unlike Kim, most of us do not live in a $60 million Calabasas mansion with a survival bunker and 24/7-armed security.
NPR recently added a pop-up message on their website asking: “What would you do in a world without the NPR Network?”
Here is some of the hard-hitting reporting NPR thinks you can’t live without ⬇️
A discussion of “genderqueer dinosaur enthusiasts” and the “trans-ceratops.”
A Valentine’s Day feature regarding “queer animals” that suggests the make-believe clownfish in Finding Nemo would’ve been better off as a female, that “banana slugs are hermaphrodites,” and that “some deer are nonbinary.”
