I was a friend, briefly, to RFK Jr. But the more I got to know him, the more I saw how he really had trouble telling fact from fiction. He could be so smart, especially about things he learned 20 years ago, but things he read recently - he fell for just about anything conspiratorial. (Thread)
So horribly sad to see. And his stance on Palestine made me never want to talk to him again. He actually said "maybe it's better" if all the Palestinians were killed by Israel. I wish I were making that up. I'm not.
I was introduced to him by David Talbot, who had known him for years, because Talbot couldn't talk him down from one of the disinformation lines in the JFK assassination story (that James Files killed JFK). He asked who knew that story and could talk him out of it.
I said, Give him to me. We wrote about that in Probe and I can convince him. He ignored my arguments, but when I sent him some actual data proving Files' story to be false, he listened. Then,
I gained further credibility with him when I said btw, I know for a fact your father didn't approve the Castro plots - neither JFK nor RFK did, and it's in the CIA's own files that they didn't. That bonded us for a time.
But then Oct. 7 happened. I had a series of emails and phone texts with him. I think there was one voice convo in there as well. He kept quoting Alan Dershowitz as if he were an unbiased party.
Most distressingly, he really seemed to think ALL Palestinians were "taught from birth to kill Israelis" and therefore even babies were combatants (to be) that had to be completely destroyed for Israel's sake. I was horrified.
I said to him, Bobby, you sound so racist. And that was pretty much the end of our discussion. He had launched his presidential bid and politely excused himself from further conversation. The next time ...
... I heard from him was when he called to ask me to help make a list of people that the CIA's records should be searched for in the RFK assassination. "This is Bobby," he said. "I'm so furious at you," I said, literally shaking.
"Why?" he asked. "Palestine!" I responded. He went back into his they're taught from birth to kill and I said "SO ARE THE ISRAELIS!" He said "This is a subject for a much longer conversation" and I said "what did you call me about?"
I love him and I can't stand him at the same time. How can someone who has a big heart in some areas have such a cruel heart in others? He's a huge walking contradiction. But one thing I know for a fact. His "truth meter" is broken.

Nosenko said no one was interested in Oswald - he was too low-level and they didn't know of his attachment to the U-2 program. CIA said why was he heavily surveilled then? 🧵
Nosenko tried to explain that was NORMAL for KGB at the time. Bu the date of this is the key. He came over in February, while the Warren Report was getting ramped up. LBJ was worried it was a Soviet conspiracy and that's how he got the people he did to join the Warren Commission. 🧵
LBJ made it clear their main job was to convince the public Oswald acted alone, because if a Soviet conspiracy was revealed, it could lead to nuclear war. Little did he know AT THE TIME the CIA was behind it. 🧵
Whitney Webb talked about how Ghilane’s father was trying to get her to marry into the Kennedy family. Then Amaryllis Fox, a CIA operative, succeeded, and married Robert Kennedy, Jr‘s son. She proceeded to edge out all the good people from the campaign, and brought in her CI buddies and forced Dennis Kucinich out. RFK Jr. is essentially the new deep state operation. The irony, and he doesn’t even know how he’s been manipulated and used. He doesn’t even see it.
Whitney didn't talk about Amaryllis, in case that wasn't clear. She talked about Ghislane. The rest is me, from what I've heard from people inside the campaign and my chats with Bobby. He completely trusts Amaryllis. But of course, that's why she was/is so good at her job.
And did anyone notice Amaryllis never updated her Twitter account name to Kennedy? Still goes by Fox? Do people know her first marriages were for work, not love?
People need to understand that when Sirhan "admitted" to killing RFK, he was plain wrong. He literally couldn't have shot him from his position and distance. And he was firing blanks under hypnotic suggestion and legit has no memory of the shooting. So why say that? (Thread - 1)
Immediately after the shooting, Sirhan was arrested. Everyone told him he had shot RFK, so he had no reason to disbelieve that, because he had no memory. He asked though, why he would have done that. (2)
If there were one thing I'd want people to understand, it was that the CIA's taking out of President John Kennedy and his brother Senator Robert Kennedy cowed the left in this country. There was hope when Democratic Senator Frank Church had the guts to take on the CIA (Thread)
On Christmas Eve, 1974, Sy Hersh dropped a piece many believe was leaked by CIA director William Colby in a move to oust the corrupt Dulles sidekick James Angleton. Hersh's piece exposed illegal CIA domestic ops (2)
But despite a serious investigation, through a combination of carrots and sticks, the CIA managed to turn the narrative away from their illegal activities and assassination operations to the need for greater intelligence and security. (3)
Happy 50th anniversary of the Watergate break-in. To this day, the real story of what happened remains muddled. Haldeman believed Nixon ordered the break-in, and I concur. (Thread)
John Meier, who was a friend of Nixon's competitor Hubert Humphrey, and who had worked with Hughes when Hughes gave a $1 million dollar bribe to Nixon, and who knew CIA secrets, told Don Nixon he gave "everything" to the Democrats. (thread)
Don panicked and ran right to his brother, who already suspected CIA involvement in the JFK and RFK assassinations (he was right). Nixon sent the burglars in to find out what the Democats knew and might use against him. (thread)
