Step 2: Wait 10–15 Days

Give the seller/brand reasonable time to respond or resolve.

One passport renewal experience I must share......so you don’t have to go through the same struggle.

I am writing to formally raise a serious concern regarding the deeply frustrating and poorly managed experience my wife and I recently faced at the passport office during her passport renewal process.

Let me begin by acknowledging a genuine mistake on our part...I had forgotten to sign the renewal form (though I had signed the photograph). We accept that.

But what followed exposed how badly the system is designed and how insensitive and careless some passport officials can be.

At the 2nd counter, my wife was told I must sign the form in front of an officer. Fair enough. I was on the way but would reach post 5 PM, and the office shuts at 5 PM.

She asked what to do. The officer told her, “You’ll get an SMS or email, please leave.”

She waited for a while, then tried to reschedule online only to find that the portal blocked rescheduling, saying "Maximum attempts done."

Still trying to resolve the issue, she approached a female officer, who instructed her to come back at 9 AM the next day with me, and she would “help” with the process.
