🔴IMPORTANT🔴 Nabih Berri just dropped the hammer:
The latest US proposal to disarm Hezbollah is worse than the May 17 agreement, the same one Lebanon tore up in 1984 as a mark of national betrayal.
Hezbollah isn’t the threat. Capitulation is.
2/ Lebanon has fulfilled every part of UN Resolution 1701.
Israel has not.
Instead, it’s expanded its occupation, bombed civilians, and barred 30+ villages from returning.
But Washington wants us to disarm first?
3/ Berri warns: Don’t throw the fireball of this crisis into the Army’s lap.
The Lebanese Army is a national shield, not a tool for foreign agendas.
4/ Berri’s message is clear: We’re open to a national defense dialogue, but only through constitutional channels, not under American pressure or Israeli threats.
Resistance is not negotiable while sovereignty is under assault.
In this context, Lebanon’s President & Prime Minister continuing to entertain this “working paper” is not just naïve, it borders on complicity.
5/ He also made clear that the August 6–7 American working paper, backed by the Prime Minister, President & members of the Quintet, isn’t just controversial, it crosses red lines. In his view, it violates the National Pact, undermines the Constitution, bypasses the ministerial statement, & disregards the presidential oath.
It also discards the 1701 ceasefire framework that Lebanon has fully implemented, replacing it with foreign-imposed terms that threaten, rather than protect, national sovereignty.
6/ Netanyahu is waving maps of “Greater Israel” that include all of Lebanon & Washington sends envoys demanding we hand over our last line of defense.
Berri asks: Do you not see what’s happening? Israel’s intent is clear. To disarm before securing liberation, sovereignty, & guarantees is not reform its surrender.
And Lebanon won’t walk that road again.
7/ Speaker Nabih Berri’s speech is more than political positioning, it’s a calibrated & consequential message at a defining moment. His rejection of the U.S.-Israeli-backed disarmament push, comparing it to the infamous May 17 agreement, signals deep alarm about Lebanon being strong-armed into surrender under the guise of diplomacy.
Crucially, Berri warns against dragging the Lebanese army into a confrontation not of its own making, framing such a move as both reckless & illegitimate. He affirms support for a national defense dialogue, but only under sovereign terms, within Lebanon’s constitutional & institutional framework, not under the dictates of foreign envoys, economic threats, or military blackmail.
In doing so, Berri aligns himself clearly with Hezbollah’s stance. Just last week, Sheikh Naim Qassem laid out a blunt roadmap: end the occupation, stop the aggression, free prisoners, rebuild the South, only then can talks about defense and arms begin.
Despite some claims that the “Shiite duo” (Amal & Hezbollah) are out of step, the reality is they’re operating in absolute strategic coordination. Their language may differ, Berri’s institutional, Qassem’s ideological, but the red lines are the same: no disarmament under occupation, no concessions under coercion, & no dialogue absent sovereignty.
Together, their unified front suggests that any attempt to fracture Lebanon’s internal alignment on this issue is, for now, wishful thinking. And any plan, foreign or local, that disregards this reality risks backfiring in ways far more destabilizing than anticipated.
This isn’t just frustration. It’s a final warning. When the man who helped tear up the May 17 Agreement sounds the alarm again, we should listen. 🔚
⚡️ It was fitting that Berri’s fiery statement came on the 47th anniversary of Imam Musa al-Sadr’s disappearance, in the name of a legacy that first awakened Lebanon’s Shiites, & ultimately birthed the resistance.
Israel understood his power. In 1984 it declared: “We do not fear Arab armies or their tanks, we fear the ideology Musa al-Sadr left behind.”

🚨 @washingtonpost scoop:🚨
Trump’s team is circulating a 38-page “GREAT Trust” plan for Gaza. It envisions a U.S.-run trusteeship for 10 years, turning the Strip into a “Riviera of the Middle East.” The catch? It begins with the “voluntary” relocation of 2M Palestinians. Genocide packaged as real estate.
2/ The Trump team’s “GREAT Trust” plan for Gaza envisions uprooting 2M+ Palestinians, either into sealed “secure zones” or “voluntary” relocation to Libya, Ethiopia, South Sudan, Somaliland, Indonesia & others. None of these countries have agreed, some are at war themselves. This isn’t policy, it’s a war crime dressed up as real estate.
3/ Those who agree to leave would be handed $5,000 + food/rent subsidies.
Land ownership replaced with “digital tokens” to maybe redeem for an apartment in one of six “AI smart cities” after 10 yrs under U.S. trusteeship.
A bribe for exile.
🔴 Israel’s smear campaign against @AnasAlSharif0, before & after murdering him, is a textbook case of justifying a war crime.
Hours after Netanyahu announced the occupation of Gaza, Anas & 5 other journalists were killed.
Israel calls him a “Hamas militant.” But their own “evidence” blows that lie apart, & exposes a plan to kill journalists before the next phase of atrocities.
Let’s break it down. 🧵
1️⃣ Netanyahu announced the coming occupation of Gaza. Hours later, Anas al-Sharif & five other journalists were killed, targeted in a tent clearly known for press at Al-Shifa Hospital.
This is not coincidence. It’s part of a deliberate campaign to silence witnesses before the next phase of atrocities
2️⃣ Hamas was the elected government in Gaza, their officials were the politicians, & the Qassam Brigades their military.
Whether you deem them terrorists or not, is irrelevant to the fact that in Gaza they were the legitimate governing & security authority.
Meeting them was part of reporting reality
Journalists worldwide take photos with leaders they meet, from Netanyahu to Putin, without becoming their operatives. In Gaza, taking a selfie with a local leader is as normal as shaking hands.
Lebanon’s cabinet just signed off on Washington’s “ceasefire stabilization” plan.
Read the fine print, & you’ll see it’s not a peace plan, it’s a dismantling blueprint.
Here are the poison pills buried inside the clauses you just read 👇
Clause 1
“Exclusive state control over war/peace decisions & weapons.”
Sounds normal, if the state could defend its people.
In Lebanon, this means dismantling Hezbollah while the army remains under-armed & foreign-restricted.
No clause forces Israel to stop daily violations before disarmament.
Clause 3
“Gradual end to all non-state armed presence, north & south of Litani.”
1701 only applied south of the Litani.
This quietly expands it nationwide, dismantling Hezbollah’s entire defense structure, not just its southern front.
🧵The Two-State Solution is Dead. What the world is offering Palestinians isn’t a state.
The concept of a two-state solution for Israel and Palestine is often presented as a path to peace, but it has become an empty promise, a diplomatic illusion that distracts from the reality of occupation and apartheid. This thread examines why the two-state solution was & is no longer viable, analyzing its historical promises, current realities, & inherent flaws.
1- All this talk of a two-state solution is delusion at best, distraction at worst.
Israel’s leadership has made it clear: it has no intention , ZERO, of allowing a sovereign Palestinian state, EVER.
Even Netanyahu has said it: “There is no post-war scenario that would lead to a Palestinian state.”
This collides with the idea of sovereignty.
This stance reveals a fundamental contradiction: a “state” without sovereignty is not a state, it’s a rebranded occupation.
Israel’s actions, settlement expansion, annexation policies, & daily violence, genocidal rhetoric, demonstrate that the system is designed to prevent Palestinian statehood, not enable it. It’s not a bug, it’s the system.
The rhetoric of a two-state solution persists as a diplomatic distraction, masking the reality of apartheid while offering Palestinians a hollow promise.
So what are you negotiating? A mirage? A hostage with a flag isn’t a state? Stop dressing up apartheid as diplomacy.
2- Let’s assume, just for argument’s sake, a Palestinian state was declared tomorrow, its functionality would be impossible under current conditions.
The proposed state would consist of two disconnected territories: Gaza in the southwest and the West Bank in the northeast, separated by a heavily militarized Israel. Israel controls all borders, airspace, and movement between these regions, rendering Palestinian autonomy dependent on Israeli permission.
Since Brigitte Gabriel (@ACTBrigitte) is going viral again, thanks to a conveniently cropped clip that hides her being dismantled on live TV, here’s a thread on who she really is: a paid fearmonger, a fraud, & a walking PR operation. 🧵👇
1: Brigitte Gabriel, born Hanan Qahwaji, is a self-declared “Middle East expert” with a résumé that reads like it was ghostwritten by a Pentagon intern with a God complex & a copy of Orientalism they never finished.
She doesn’t analyse… she sells outrage. Fear is her currency, Islamophobia her product, & Israeli talking points her script.
2: Her backstory? A reheated fairy tale about “Islamist terror” & childhood trauma, stitched together with bad faith & melodrama. It’s crafted to tug heartstrings & open wallets. Spoiler: it’s fiction. Lebanese people know this, the rest of the world is just catching up.
🧵1/ A leaked investigation reveals the IAEA, the UN’s supposed nuclear watchdog, was infiltrated by a veteran MI6 spy tasked with orchestrating sanctions and covert operations against Iran.
The agency’s “neutrality” is a myth.👇
By @KitKlarenberg
@TheGrayzoneNews
2/ His name? Nicholas Langman, a British intelligence operative with a long record of dirty work.
He claims credit for helping engineer the West’s economic war on Iran & influencing the IAEA to justify sanctions and isolation.
3/ Iran has long accused the IAEA of colluding with Western & Israeli intelligence.
The result?
🔻 Leaked identities of Iranian nuclear scientists, many later assassinated.
🔻 Supplying intel that helped target Iran’s nuclear sites.
This leak confirms those fears weren’t paranoia; they were reality.
