I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) saying, "Allah, the Exalted, has said:
'O son of Adam! I shall go on forgiving you so long as you pray to Me and aspire for My forgiveness whatever may be your sins. O son of Adam! I do not care even if your sins should
1/
pile up to the sky and should you beg pardon of Me, I would forgive you. O son of Adam! If you come to Me with an earthful of sins and meet Me, not associating anything with Me in worship, I will certainly grant you as much pardon as will fill the earth."'

Iblis (the shaytan) and Adam (AS) both sinned while they were in paradise. But they acted differently.
When Iblis disobeyed Allah’s command to prostrate, he was punished. But instead of acknowledging his fault and repenting, he blamed Allah for the sin. He said:
1/
“…Because You have sent me astray, I will surely sit in wait for them (i.e. the children of Adam) on Your straight path.”
(Qur’an 7:16)
Notice what Iblis did. He did not accept his sin as his own fault. He did not admit his error. Instead, he claimed that Allah was the
2/
cause of his downfall and, in arrogance, vowed to mislead humanity. He never acknowledged his sin.
But when Adam (AS) disobeyed Allah, his response was different. He turned back in repentance and said:
3/
Leave something or someone for the sake of Allah, and never leave Allah for the sake of something or someone.
Whoever leaves Allah to hold on to a person or thing will only end up hurt, broken, and made miserable by that very person or thing. This includes disobeying Allah in
order to please people.
You cannot disobey Allah to please someone and expect peace. Instead, you will find yourself frustrated and disappointed by what you sought to please instead of Allah.
Allah does not accept rivals in His worship. When you make a rival for Him,
whether a person, desire, or object, He becomes displeased. And the displeasure of Allah carries great consequences.
True honor, peace, and fulfillment are found only in choosing Allah above everything and everyone.
Ayyub (AS)’s test lasted for 18 years. For 18 years, his whole body was covered in sickness except his heart. He lost his wealth, his status, and his family (except for his wife who remained by his side all through). He was abandoned by his community, and even a
relative said that perhaps he was being punished for a sin.
Yet, Ayyub (AS) remained patient through it all, remembering Allah, loving Allah, and never complaining in that state. SubhanAllah.
When he finally made du’a about his situation, he said in the most graceful way:
“Distress has touched me.”
That was it. No long list of complaints. No blame towards Allah. Just a humble a simple “distress has touched me.”
I reflected on Ayatul Kursi this morning and realized how powerful the verse is. The way Allah describes Himself in it—when the heart truly reflects on those descriptions and trusts Him as a result, while holding firmly to Him—great goals can be achieved. The impossible becomes
possible by His will, and every “No” can turn into a “Yes” by His permission.
Allah is the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of all that exists. He is never absent—He neither slumbers nor sleeps. The demands of all His creation do not tire Him in any way or form. He owns everything
in existence and has complete control over it all.
So, what are your needs?
He is Most Generous and gives to whom He wills without limit. Ask Him with firm faith and trust!
Someone once got angry at Allah and stopped his worship of Allah. His reason? Not only did he not get what he prayed for, he also lost the little he had. He would watch the others grow in their abundance and he would think about himself and his Lord. He pushed his thoughts
further and further until he left the worship of his Lord and the shaytan was pleased.
Another person looked deeply at his experience and thought deeply about it, the source of his problem. The origin, ignorance.
Ignorance of His Lord, and lack of knowledge and understanding of
the purpose of being in the dunya.
Why was he displeased?
-He was displeased because he wanted to decide his test himself.
-He was displeased because he forgot the short and temporal nature of this dunya.
-He was displeased and turn away because he thought wrongly of His Lord
The one who's poor can get jannah through patience and dua and being prevented from spending on sins. The one who's rich can get jannah through holding himself back from spending on sins and giving charity sincerely for the sake of Allah.
The one who's married can get jannah through marriage, the one who's unmarried can get jannah through striving to keep himself away from zina for the sake of Allah.
