🚨 BREAKING: The chair of Al-Awda, a U.S.-based nonprofit with tax-exempt status, just praised Hamas’ military spokesman as a “martyr.”
And this is not the first time. She has also defended Hamas, glorified stabbing attacks, and called for an intifada.
Full receipts below 🧵
Amani Al-Hindi Barakat celebrated Huthayfa Samir al-Kahlout, known as Abu Obaida, after he was killed in an Israeli strike last week.
“Zionism’s days are numbered, and the whole world knows it. Do not be sad. Celebrate him. Celebrate every martyr who stood their ground.”
/2
Barakat has a long record of extremist content.
In 2015 she praised a Palestinian terrorist who stabbed Israeli civilians, writing: “Bravery at its finest!”
She has repeatedly called for “intifada,” a campaign of violence in which more than 1,100 Israelis were murdered.
/3
She glorified Ashraf Na’alwa, who gunned down two Israelis at a factory in 2018.
She praised Saleh Barghouti, who opened fire on civilians at a bus stop, killing a baby.
She honored Basel Al-Araj, killed in a shootout while planning terror attacks with M-16s in his home.
/4
She celebrated Ahmad Jarrar, who murdered Rabbi Raziel Shevach in a drive-by shooting.
She shared tributes to Baha Alyan, who boarded a bus in Jerusalem in 2015 and slaughtered three civilians.
She promoted a film glorifying PFLP hijacker Leila Khaled.
5/
Barakat has defended convicted Hamas financiers, calling the "Holy Land Five", sentenced to decades in U.S. prison for funneling millions to Hamas, “the finest men you will ever meet.”
She also praised Shireen Issawi, convicted of transferring Hamas funds to terrorists.
/6
Barakat has been deeply involved in radical organizing in the U.S.
She has chaired Al-Awda’s board, attended SJP and AMP conferences, and openly supported BDS campaigns.
Her posts call Israel “a racist, apartheid, illegal state” and accuse it of “genocide.”
7/
And now, as head of a federally recognized charity, she is celebrating Hamas’ military spokesman as a martyr.
This is a nonprofit that receives tax-deductible donations from Americans.
8/
Al-Awda is benefiting from U.S. tax dollars while its leader glorifies stabbings, shootings, hijackers, and Hamas commanders.
The evidence is overwhelming.
Why are American taxpayers funding this extremism?

@SecRubio @LeoTerrellDOJ @DataRepublican The information in this thread came largely from @canarymission and @JewishOnliner, 2 accounts that I highly recommend following.
The International Association of “Genocide Scholars” just admitted that for nearly two years they saw the same events everyone else saw in Gaza and chose not to speak up even though they knew there was not enough evidence to accuse Israel of genocide.
They watched while Israel was dragged through The Hague. They watched while the media smeared Israel daily. They watched while “genocide” became the world’s headline accusation against the Jewish state. And they stayed silent.
Now, almost two years later, suddenly they have enough “evidence.” What has changed in Gaza? Not the facts on the ground. What changed is that they can now rely on the corrupt word of the UN, on propaganda coming out of Gaza, and on antisemites like Francesca Albanese to give cover for their vote.
They admit there was no evidence then. There is no evidence now. What there is, is politics. And once again, Jews are paying the price.
@ElliotMalin Linking a few important threads here:
🚨 Philadelphia: CAIR-Philadelphia is now “partnering” with city schools to promote “inclusive education.”
Among its offerings?
• A 9/11 curriculum that bans teachers from using the words “Islamic terrorists” or “jihadists.”
• A workshop titled “American Jews and Political Power: Myth or Reality,” teaching students about the ADL, AIPAC, and promoting BDS activism.
The workshop is run by Jacob Bender, who described October 7th as merely “the first day of the Gaza war.” He also served on the Philadelphia superintendent’s “anti-racist district culture” team.
So under the guise of “equity,” Philly schools are letting CAIR push propaganda that erases jihad from 9/11 and portrays Jewish political life as suspect.
One of the "journalists" killed today was Ahmed Abu Aziz.
Western media outlets like the @nytimes are devastated.
On Oct. 7th, Ahmed celebrated the massacre, calling it "the greatest day of our generation" while mourning his dead terrorist friends.
🧵 👇

Ahmed praised and mourned his friend Hamdan Al-Astal, a Hamas terrorist who was killed while invading Israeli communities to murder innocent people on October 7th.
2/
Here he is spreading Hamas propaganda, parading the innocent Thai workers who were cruelly taken hostage, and referring to them as "mercenaries".
France suspends all evacuations from Gaza after a Gazan refugee student was caught posting “Kill Jews everywhere,” glorifying Hitler, and calling for Israeli hostage executions.
She had been welcomed to France as a humanitarian case and her account was only discovered after outcry from X users. French authorities now admit the vetting process failed. The Interior Minister ordered her expulsion from the country while the Foreign Minister declared she "has no place in France."
Sciences Po Lille revoked her scholarship and admission, calling her posts a violation of the university’s values.
France had previously granted automatic refugee status to all Gazans. Hundreds were flown in under that policy, including the now-expelled student. Officials are now reviewing the entire evacuation program.
