A U.S. military strike just sank a Venezuelan narco-boat loaded with drugs.
11 dead. Tren de Aragua terrorists. Cocaine & fentanyl headed for our streets.
Trump isn’t playing. The drug "war" just got REAL. 🧵👇
2/ For years, Venezuela’s dictator Nicolás Maduro has flooded our borders with:
• Millions of illegal migrants
• Narco-terrorist gangs like Tren de Aragua
• Drugs killing Americans by the tens of thousands
That ended Sept. 2 when Trump gave the green light.
3/ The boat was packed with drugs.
Trump: “You see bags of drugs all over the boat. We have tapes of them speaking about it. A lot of people won’t be doing it again after seeing that video.”
Swift. Decisive. Zero tolerance.
4/ Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth:
➡️ The boat was run by Tren de Aragua—designated a foreign terrorist org earlier this year.
➡️ “Operations will continue in the region.”
The “experts” told Reagan the Soviet Union was forever.
The “experts” told Trump peace in the Middle East was impossible without solving the Palestinian question.
Both men proved the experts dead wrong. 🧵
2/ In the late 1970s, America’s foreign policy was built on détente — appeasing Communism, ignoring human rights, and hoping to “manage” the Soviet Union forever.
Jimmy Carter even kissed Brezhnev at the signing of SALT II.
That was the Uniparty establishment’s vision.
3/ Then came Reagan.
He didn’t whisper about “managing decline.” He called the Soviet Union what it was: an Evil Empire.
He predicted Marxism-Leninism, not freedom, would be "thrown on the ash-heap of history."
The global elite called him reckless. A warmonger. A fool.
The Department of Defense is now officially the Department of War.
Which, among other things, is a lot more honest.
And the Left is already losing its mind. 🧵
2/ Trump: “Defense. What are we, defense? Why are we defense? It used to be called the Department of War, and it had a stronger sound. We won WWI, WWII, everything. Now we’re just defenders? I don’t know.”
🔥 He's not wrong. We've lost all but one war since the change.
3/ From 1789–1947, the Army was under the Department of War. The Navy was separate. The Marines were/are part of it. The Air Force was part of the Army.
Then Truman merged them all into a new Department of Defense. "Efficiency."
