He played video games, loved coding and dressed like any other teenager.
But his heart burned with love for the Eucharist.
And today he was Canonized a Saint by Pope Leo XIV
This is the story of Blessed Carlo Acutis, the Cyber Apostle – a 🧵✝️
Carlo was born in 1991, in London to Andrea Acutis and Antonia Salzano.
His family later moved to Milan, Italy, where Carlo developed his love for video games, coding and photography alongside his deepening faith
A teenager like any other, except for one thing:
his heart burned with love for Christ.
His love for Christ inspired his parents with his mother saying: “Before Carlo’s birth, I was really caught up in the culture of our time,” “I was a prisoner of everything that is relative and limited.” “Carlo showed me how to live in my century while turning toward eternity.”
From the age of 7, Carlo attended daily Mass.
He spent long hours before the Blessed Sacrament.
His motto: “The Eucharist is my highway to Heaven.”
He also prayed the rosary often, because he loved Jesus’ Mother, the Blessed Virgin Mary: “The Virgin Mary is the only woman in my life.”
Carlo used his talents for God.
He created a website cataloguing Eucharistic miracles worldwide a digital evangelization before social media exploded.
He designed a traveling exhibition along with a dedicated website, carefully compiling testimonies of Eucharistic wonders from every corner of the globe.
In just two and a half years, he managed to document 187 miracles. Using his talent for computer programming, Carlo placed modern technology at the service of faith, opening a path for people to encounter the mystery of Christ’s Real Presence in the Eucharist.
As he loved to remind others: “When we face the sun we get a tan… but when we stand before Jesus in the Eucharist we become saints.”
This earned him the title: “Cyber Apostle of the Eucharist.”
He wasn’t free from trials.
At 15, Carlo was diagnosed with leukemia.
He accepted it as a sacrifice for the Church and for the Pope. He said: “I am happy to die, because I lived my life without wasting a minute on things that do not please God.”
Although his earthly life ended far too soon, passing away from leukemia in October 2006 at only fifteen years old, Carlo’s witness continues to shine.
His life stands as proof that sanctity is possible even in the digital era, and his example continues to inspire countless souls, especially the young and those who work with technology.
Carlo died on October 12, 2006.
At his request he was buried in Assisi because of his love for St. Francis.
His cause for canonization began in 2013 and he was designated “Venerable” in 2018. A healing miracle has been attributed to his intercession and he will was designated “Blessed” on October 10, 2020
His tomb has been opened and his intact body lies in repose in a glass tomb where he can be venerated by pilgrims until Oct. 17. He is displayed in jeans and a pair of Nikes, the casual clothes he preferred in life. The rector for the Sanctuary of Spoliation in Assisi, where Acutis’ tomb is located, called him a witness that holiness is attainable for teenagers. “For the first time in history we will see a saint dressed in jeans, sneakers, and a sweater,” the rector said. “This is a great message for us, we can feel holiness not as a distant thing but as something very much within everyone’s reach because the Lord is the Lord of everyone.”
Archbishop Domenico Sorrentino of Assisi said “Carlo is a boy of our time. A boy of the internet age, and a model of holiness of the digital age, as Pope Francis presented him in his letter to young people around the world.
The computer, has become a way of going through the streets of the world, like the first disciples of Jesus, to bring to hearts and homes the announcement of true peace, that which quenches the thirst for the infinite that inhabits the human heart.”

Blessed Carlo Acutis, pray for us!
This is an old thread, I decided to repost today in honor of Saint Carlo canonization.
Check out this other one I made with my favourite quotes from this great Saint:
If you guys are interested, I made several little FREE handbook guides on how to pray the rosary in english/latin and some devotions to the Blessed Mother and St. Joseph
You’ve probably prayed novenas before.
But have you ever heard of a 12-year novena that if prayed daily Jesus will defend you at judgment?
Plus no purgatory, protection for 4 generations, and even foreknowledge of death?
The 12-Year Prayer of St. Bridget of Sweden – a 🧵
From Eden to Calvary, salvation has always been written in Blood.
When Adam and Eve fell, God clothed them with garments of animal skin, the first blood sacrifice to cover sin. (Gen 3:21)
But these sacrifices only pointed forward.
The Israelites shed the blood of lambs, goats, and bulls.
Yet none of these could heal the wound of sin.
It took the Blameless Lamb of God, Jesus Christ, whose Precious Blood was poured out at Calvary, once for all, for our redemption.
Blessed Carlos Acutis is getting canonized tomorrow by Pope Leo XIV

Did you know there was one Marian apparition in China?
In 1900, during a fanatical uprising, thousands of Chinese Catholics were besieged inside a Church.
They endured famine & death for two months.
But they weren’t alone our Lady came to the rescue.
The Siege of Beitang -🧵
By 1900, the Catholic Church in China was growing fast:
>40 bishops
>800 European missionaries
>600 native Chinese priests
>700,000+ Chinese Catholics
But that same year, a wave of diabolical hatred began to rise
The Boxer Rebellion (1898–1900) was a violent anti-European, anti-Christian uprising.
The Boxers believed they were invincible and used demonic rituals, incantations, and possessions.
Bishop Favier of Beijing called them “a truly diabolical sect.”
“They are the direct instruments of the devil,” he wrote.
“They quarter children, burn women alive in churches, crucify men. Their hatred of the Catholic name drives them to madness.”
That summer, their fury descended on the Beitang Cathedral.
He climbed mountains, pulled pranks, and lived like any other young man. But his soul burned with love for Christ and the poor.
Saint John Paul II called him "The man of the Beatitudes"
This Sunday, he will be canonized a Saint.
The life of Pier Giorgio Frassati - a 🧵✝️
Pier Giorgio Michelangelo Frassati was born in Turin on April 6, 1901.
His father Alfredo founded the newspaper La Stampa and was Italy’s ambassador to Germany.
His mother, Adelaide, was a painter.
The family was influential, cultured, and largely secular.
At 17, he entered the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
He spent countless hours serving Turin’s poor: carrying medicine, feeding children, assisting wounded veterans.
He gave away his bus fare and ran home, gave away his coat in winter, even sacrificed vacations to remain with the poor.
“The poor and suffering were his masters,” one friend said. For Pier Giorgio, charity was not a hobby, it was his vocation.
He embodied Matthew 25,40: “Whatever you did for one of the least of these, you did for me.”
Carlo Acutis will be canonized a by Pope Leo this Sunday.
He loved Pokémon, video games, Nutella, but above all Jesus. He shows us that sanctity is not out of reach for our age.
How to become a Saint like Carlos Acutis with examples from his life - a 🧵
Souce: ctspublishers
1) Make daily Holy Mass a priority
Carlo made the Eucharist the center of his life.
He went to Mass every day and said: “You go straight to Heaven if you participate in the Mass daily.”
For him, holiness was simple: the more you receive Jesus, the more you become like Him.
2) Love the Eucharist
Even before First Communion, Carlo burned with desire to receive Jesus.
Those who saw him testify: after his First Communion, something visibly changed in him.
He knew the Eucharist wasn’t a symbol, it was Christ Himself.
