Takeaways from Ben Johnson's first loss in as many games as the Bears head coach:
1.) That was rough. Entire team fell apart in the second half. Thought it would be different from the jump but it wasn't. Same old Bears.
2.) Caleb looked a lot smoother and confident in the first half and regressed mightily in the second. Still holding onto the ball and was just missing left and right throughout the night.
Didn't seem all that improved overall from a year ago outside of him using his legs.
3.) The running game was BRUTAL. We all knew going into this one that they failed to improve that group and it was evident from the beginning they couldn't get anything going.
4.) Jonah Jackson was bad tonight. Penalties and struggled at the point of attack. Needs to be better.
5.) Do the Bears ever run a successful screen pass? I swear they've been trying for a decade to do it and can't figure it out.
6.) Surprised with how little Cole Kmet and Colston Loveland were featured. I assumed the tight ends would be a big part of the offense.
Kmet had the big catch, but combined the two were targeted just six times.
7.) Olamide Zaccheaus is clearly someone the team wants to be a part of the offense. He had the second most targets with seven tonight.
Rome led the way with nine. DJ Moore needs to be more involved in the passing game, but a lot of that seems like Caleb missing him.
8.) Playing off DJ in the last tweet, Caleb and him really struggled to get on the same page at times last season and that happened once again tonight.
I just don't get it sometimes.
9.) On a positive note, Noah Sewell played well on defense. He was all over the field. His biggest struggles though were in coverage but that shouldn't be a surprise.
10.) Dayo also played very well. Good to see him getting off the ball quickly. He also was getting his hands up and was sort of a menace. Hope to see more of that.

Takeaways from Matt Eberflus' 28th loss in 42 games as the #Bears head coach:
1.) Fire him now. Eberflus has lost this team. That TD run to end the first half basically sealed it that they quit on him.
2.) Leaving Caleb out there at the end of this was malpractice. PROTECT YOUR BEST ASSET! There was nothing to learn there.
3.) Chicago's offense has zero identity. What do they do well? It looked like things were heading in the right direction after the Jags game and it has been downright awful two weeks in a row.
Takeaways from Matt Eberflus' 26th loss in 37 games as the head coach of the Bears:
1.) Eberflus and this entire staff should have been fired after last season. This staff is clearly the worst in the division and they are doing very little to help their rookie QB.
2.) Flus' in-game strategy is terrible. Called a timeout ahead of a two-point conversion despite knowing they should have gone for it either way. Called another random timeout with the Colts in the red zone.
Makes no sense.
3.) Caleb's deep accuracy has been concerning at times. He moved the ball well in the 2nd half but the mistakes have been killer.
They asked a lot of him and some of that is unfair. He shouldn't need to throw the ball 50-plus times. But to shake off TOs and score TDs is good.
