Parents and children deserve far better than what they've been getting from our education system for years. Thanks to the Trump administration’s bold move to dismantle the Department of Education, conservatives now have an extraordinary opportunity to revitalize education in America.

Here's what I shared in Austin, Texas last night. 🧵Image
The Purpose of Education: Education must be about self-governance. Every curriculum, policy, and reform should aim to equip students with the knowledge, virtue, and critical thinking skills needed to govern themselves and contribute to a free society. Anything less betrays our children and our nation.
The Failure of Modern Schools: Too many schools today actively undermine self-governance. They hide behind the rhetoric of liberty—claiming to champion freedom—while promoting licentiousness, indoctrinating students with ideologies that erode personal responsibility and civic virtue. This isn’t education; it’s sabotage.
Decades of Obstruction: For years, conservative education reformers working in states and civil society have been thwarted by corrupt bureaucrats at the Department of Education and their allies in the Teachers Unions. These unions are the greatest obstacle to meaningful reform, entrenching a system that serves adults, not children.
A New Era with Trump and McMahon: Thanks to President Trump and Secretary McMahon, we finally have an administration willing to play ball. The dismantling of the Department of Education has removed a major obstacle, giving us a once-in-a-generation chance to go on offense. It’s time to be bolder than ever before in reshaping education.
Universal School Choice and Beyond: Fighting for universal school choice is essential—it empowers parents and breaks the monopoly of failing public schools. But school choice alone isn’t enough. We need a comprehensive strategy to rebuild education from the ground up.
Here’s how we seize this moment:

Destroy the Accreditation Cartel: The accreditation system is a stronghold of Leftist power, gatekeeping innovation and protecting failing institutions.
Adopt the Classical Learning Test: Replacing the SAT and ACT with the Classical Learning Test will prioritize intellectual rigor and a return to timeless principles over standardized mediocrity.
Redirect Charitable Donations: The annual amount of charitable donations to higher education is approaching $50 billion. According to my colleague Jay Greene, if even half of that money were diverted to founding new institutions, we could build 7 new universities each year. Stop giving to alma maters that have lost their way. Instead, invest in creating schools that align with our values.
Rebuild Teacher Training: Teachers’ colleges are breeding grounds for classroom radicalism. We must control-alt-delete these institutions and build new ones. We can use the success of new conservative civic institutes in states like Texas and Florida as our model. A new generation of teachers, grounded in truth and virtue, is essential for lasting change.
No Neutral Ground: There is no neutral in education. Simply removing radical curricula—like Critical Race Theory, gender ideology, or climate activism—isn’t enough. We must replace them with curricula that instill what is good, true, and
Build New Institutions: Success won’t come from politics alone. Good men and women must reject institutions that are rotten to the core and start anew. From primary schools to universities, we need to create alternatives that embody our vision for education.
We have a second chance to make education in America great again. The momentum is ours, but it won’t last forever. If we fail to act decisively, we may not get another opportunity.
When the Left attacks us, calling our project “white, Christian nationalism” or whatever their smear of the day is, we must concede nothing. Ignore their noise. They’re simply grappling with the reality that America is fed up with their failed experiment on our children. Parents and communities are demanding something new—something better.

Let’s use this moment to build an education system that honors our children, our values, and our nation’s future. The time to act is now.

President Trump is ending outdated trade policies that harm hard-working Americans. So now globalist elites are spitting mad that we are finally putting the interests of American workers, families, and communities over the pocketbooks of self-anointed “citizens of the world.”

Here is a thread on how President Trump’s trade policies are restoring respect for America:
Demanding fairness and reciprocity: For decades, friends and foes have taken advantage of American generosity, including military and other aid, while at the same time erecting barriers to competition from goods produced by American workers. No longer.

Even our closest allies still impose tariffs, quotas, labeling restrictions, foreign ownership limits, and bureaucratic red tape that keep American products and companies out of many markets. President Trump’s reciprocal tariffs are a tool of statecraft that can level the playing field. If foreign nations want to avoid these tariffs, then they must remove their trade barriers. It’s really that simple.
Creating respect for our borders: Foreign nations have not only dumped artificially cheap products into the U.S. They have also flooded our shores with fentanyl, gang members, and illegal immigrants. The American people spoke loud and clear last November: fixing these problems is an urgent priority.

President Trump is requiring foreign countries to take their criminals back, stop facilitating drug smuggling and human trafficking, and respect our borders—otherwise, they face the consequences of stiff tariffs. As the President of Colombia found out when he tried to refuse the repatriation of a planeload of illegal immigrants, soft power is not always so soft.

🧵Americans in 2024 are in the process of carrying out the Second American Revolution to take power back from the elites and despotic bureaucrats.

These patriots are committed to peaceful revolution at the ballot box.
Unfortunately, the Left may not allow a peaceful transfer of power.

As we saw in 2020, organized groups on the Left have the capacity to:

⭕️Riot violently.
⭕️Take over cities.
⭕️Target Supreme Court justices with violence and death threats.
⭕️Weaponize taxpayer-funded agencies to target their political opponents.

*Just to name a few.
As more and more Americans have rallied against corrupt elites in recent years, the groundswell of support has had an unmistakable historical parallel to the decades before 1776.

There’s no doubt that we’re living at the dawn of the Second American Revolution.

The Civil Rights Act was an extraordinary accomplishment, outlawing discrimination on the basis of race, sex, religion, and national origin and securing all Americans’ participation in our society.

For the first time, a colorblind society was codified into law.
But today, the Civil Rights Act is in bad shape.

College campuses discriminate against certain racial groups in the admissions process in clear violation of the law.

Mandatory DEI courses force workers to treat their co-workers differently based on the color of their skin.

Some federal programs have been restricted to minority applicants and religious employers have been hit with penalties.
The law is a teacher, and for decades, Americans learned the lesson of the Civil Rights Act: every American deserves equal treatment and respect.

But in recent years, many have forgotten that lesson, replacing equality under the law with equity of outcomes.

A thoughtful, thorough, and sober analysis by @JDVance1, who’s already become one of the best conservative policymakers. Hats off to the @nytimes, of all outlets, for running his op-ed.

🧵 1/ He writes: “President Biden wants the world to believe that the biggest obstacle facing Ukraine is Republicans and our lack of commitment to the global community. This is wrong.”

And the following point is vital: “Ukraine’s challenge is not the G.O.P.; it’s math. Ukraine needs more soldiers than it can field, even with draconian conscription policies. And it needs more matériel than the United States can provide. This reality must inform any future Ukraine policy, from further congressional aid to the diplomatic course set by the president.”Image
2/ The Establishment’s inability to accept the reality about Ukraine, and instead to browbeat those who dare ask questions, must change.

As @JDVance1 argues, “Since the start of the conflict, the United States has gone to great lengths to ramp up production of 155-millimeter shells. We’ve roughly doubled our capacity and can now produce 360,000 per year — less than a tenth of what Ukraine says it needs. The administration’s goal is to get this to 1.2 million — 30 percent of what’s needed — by the end of 2025. This would cost the American taxpayers dearly while yielding an unpleasantly familiar result: failure abroad.”
3/ From the outset of the war, so-called “experts” have claimed that Ukraine could win. A year ago, they claimed that Ukraine’s counteroffensive would bring the Russians to the negotiating table. At no time since, in spite of the tragic failure of that counteroffensive, have the Establishment non-realists admitted that they’ve been wrong.

Consider what @JDVance says: “These basic mathematical realities were true, but contestable, at the outset of the war. They were obvious and incontestable a year ago, when American leadership worked closely with Mr. Zelensky to undertake a disastrous counteroffensive. The bad news is that accepting brute reality would have been most useful last spring, before the Ukrainians launched that extremely costly and unsuccessful military campaign.”

As Congress prepares to vote on The Protecting Americans from Foreign Adversary Controlled Applications Act on Wednesday, it's crucial to question why TikTok doesn't opt for divestment instead of exaggerating concerns over a potential "ban" it isn't obligated to face.

The answer lies in TikTok's deep connections to the CCP through its parent company, ByteDance.
Beijing-based ByteDance is subject to the People’s Republic of China’s (PRC) laws and policies that permit the CCP’s access to the data it collects.

Chinese officials—former and current—are embedded in TikTok’s parent company and involved in the company’s inner workings through an internal corporate CCP committee and a board seat on ByteDance’s domestic subsidiary.
Leaked recordings and testimonies from ex-employees reveal that the CCP has "supreme access" to all TikTok data, with China-based engineers accessing non-public American user data.

TikTok was even implicated in an attempt to surveil the locations of American journalists by ByteDance employees.

Beyond this, TikTok consistently censors content, suppressing information on China's Uyghur population genocide, Hong Kong protests, Tibetan independence, and generally critical topics of the CCP.

No one is safe in Biden's America.

Laken Riley was brutally murdered because Joe Biden, Alejandro Mayorkas, and congressional Democrats repeatedly failed to keep her and our communities safe.

Blood is on their hands. 🧵 Image
Jose Ibarra should NEVER have been in our country—or released by DHS after illegal entry.

He should NEVER have been released after a NYC arrest; deportation should have been immediate.

Athens-Clarke Co. should have NEVER been allowed to keep sanctuary status (GA banned).
There is a direct line from El Paso to New York to Athens. It's a line of left-wing, open-border, America-Last, pro-crime policies—a line of blood and chaos.

They let a predator walk free, and a young woman paid the price.

When will things change?
