Looking back on lynchings being discussed in history class is so funny in retrospect. "Yeah white people used to become very angry and very violent all of a sudden for NO REASON and find a black person and hang them and this happened all the time"

The funny thing about Deliverance is the writer wrote it after he got a flat tire one time and some rednecks stopped, helped him remove it, took him to get a new one, paid for it for him, and put it on for him. Afterwards he thought "what if those guys had r*pred me instead?
And to this day it's held as the iconic shitlib image around the world of "what those BAD whites are like!!". The entire world. Like here, this guy trying to think of "why Americans are secretly all evil"? Deliverance.
The "real story of Deliverance"? A college professor was broke down on the side of the road and some Good Ole Boys stopped, helped him, gave charity (despite from implication them being poorer than he was), for no gain of their own. The result? He wrote Deliverance.

Girl I went to college with dm'd me on LinkedIn to see what I was up to and ask if I was still around the area we went to school and if "I wanted to get coffee". I deferred the invite for "indefinite" but pondered why she dm'd me

I remembered later I asked her out junior(?) year
We were part of a social circle and were in the same program, so we had classes together. I remember floating the notion of 'getting dinner' or something one time and she sharply, and abruptly shut that down. I think I only remember it because of how harsh it was
I put it behind me and forgot about it, and we were friends subsequently. We graduated, but still kept mutual friends and saw each other a couple times after. As of now we haven't seen each other in 3 or 4 years

Most guys don't understand how fluid the practice of 'shit tests' are. This tweet was itself a shit test directed at any guy who viewed it. The translation of it is "I (+ other women I know) lack the partners we want, a place to find me/us at is a pilates class" Image
I did not have to see the follow-up tweet or her bio to be able to induce that she is constant pilates practitioner (her main hobby) or a pilates instructor (this turned out to be the case). So she advertised "[main hobby] + hot guy" disguised as "an advice tweet"
For anyone lost in the mass of apparently "contradictory" statements made by the mass of wahmen in response to this, it's a simple calculus. The "anti-"party specified the cause of this dislike: "losers". Pro-party? "Hot guys" Image
