Today’s @STF_oficial “verdict” against President @JairBolsonaro was politically orchestrated by the Crooked and Corrupt @Alexandre de Moraes and is a complete disgrace to the ideals of democracy and judicial fairness. 🧵

3/ This was a Witch-Hunt designed to eliminate a political opponent using the exact same lawfare playbook used against @POTUS @realDonaldTrump.
4/ Consider how the outcome was rigged before the trial even began. Three of the five justices “considering” the case had already decided the outcome well in advance…
5/ ➡️ @Alexandre de Moraes, the “Justice” who led the persecution, is a declared enemy of President @JairBolsonaro.
6/ ➡️ Justice Zanin was current President @LulaOficial’s personal lawyer.
7/ ➡️ Justice Dino was @LulaOficial’s justice minister, and has an active case against President @JairBolsonaro.
8/ With three openly conflicted judges out of five, impartiality is impossible. And unlike in the U.S., there is no higher court of appeal - this panel has the final word!
9/ It gets worse, if you can imagine that:
➡️ There was no evidence against President @JairBolsonaro connecting him to any of the protests in question. None.

10/ ➡️ President @JairBolsonaro wasn’t even in Brazil when the protests happened - he had already left office and was traveling with his family.
11/ ➡️ President @JairBolsonaro’s defense was obstructed, and driven by prosecutorial coercion, not evidence. The key plea-bargain witness against President Bolsonaro even admitted on tape that his testimony was given under coercion and threats to his family!
