Tyler Robinson has been ID'ed as the Kirk shooter. Raised in the stereotypical All-American white conservative family with a sheriff for a father, Tyler grew up around guns and knew how to use them. It's the guns. 
He told his father that he shot Kirk. His father turned him in.
The right is now pivoting to indoctrination at the collegiate level as the cause of this. Tyler appears to have attended Utah State University for only one semester.
One thing I know for sure, had Robinson not grown up around guns and learned to shoot them incredibly well, he would not have made that shot from 150 yards.
