Meet Teresa Stokes, magistrate in the North Carolina district of Mecklenburg County. There are many very odd things about this magistrate like her current address is not in NC. In NC, you are required to live in the district in which you are appointed magistrate. 
She got married in Michigan in 2019. To her wife Ayanna Ballard which is from North Carolina.

Stokes was appointed to her magistrate seat in April of 2023. Ayanna received a speeding ticket in Virginia in September of 2023 where her address was listed as East Lansing, MI, which matches her last known address starting in 2021.
Stokes and her wife are BOTH directors of the Pinnacle Recovery Group based in Michigan. Pinnacle received tens of thousands of dollars in PPP loans in 2022.
Stokes also ran many businesses in Michigan at the time of her appointment (note: Kevin’s House was not active at the time of her appointment but is still important). It appears she did not live in North Carolina at all.
Stokes apparently doesn’t like to pay her taxes. She has federal small business tax liens that total to nearly $70,000.
In addition to not paying her federal taxes, she also did not like to pay her state income taxes. She has state income tax liens for a sum of $26,487. Her most recent tax lien was filed in 2024 showing her address in Lansing, MI.
Ten members of Congress have already called for proceedings to be initiated to remove Stokes from office. Based on the evidence, it’s questionable if she ever lived in NC. We think that all her rulings should be called into question and reviewed. Don’t you?
