The Genius Who Lit Up Mathematics & Astronomy.
Long before Newton & Galileo, India had Aryabhata (476 CE) a mathematician, astronomer & visionary whose discoveries still shape our world.
🧵#Thread Here’s why his genius is unforgettable. 👇 Image
1. The Value of π (Pi)
Aryabhata gave the world the first accurate value of π (3.1416).
Using innovative geometry with a bow & chord method, he calculated circumference-to-diameter ratio centuries before modern math confirmed it.
2. Founder of Algebraic Thought
To solve complex problems, Aryabhata invented equations & laid the base for algebra.
His Arya Theory transformed mathematics into a tool for astronomy, engineering & daily life.
3. The Discovery of Zero (0)
Imagine math without zero.
Aryabhata’s work made the concept of zero concrete, revolutionizing calculation forever.
Without zero, modern science, computers & even space exploration wouldn’t exist.
4. Eclipses Explained
At a time when people believed Rahu “swallowed” the Sun & Moon, Aryabhata proved eclipses happen due to Earth’s shadow.
He replaced myth with science, showing how reason can dissolve superstition.
5. Trigonometry (Sine & Cosine)
Every student learns Sine & Cosine today.
But few know Aryabhata defined them 1,500 years ago.
His work made trigonometry the language of astronomy, navigation & modern physics.
6. Astronomical Accuracy
Aryabhata calculated Earth’s rotation, the length of a year, planetary positions & orbits with astonishing accuracy.
Much of his data matches today’s scientific measurements.
7. Aryabhata’s Aryabhatiya became a foundation for global mathematics & astronomy.
Zero, π, trigonometry, algebra, eclipses his genius continues to guide science, technology & space research.
Aryabhata wasn’t just an Indian mathematician.
He was a world scientist ahead of his time, proving that India’s ancient wisdom is the root of modern science.
🔁 Repost if you’re proud of India’s scientific heritage.

Forgotten Indian Science That Shaped the World.
When the West was still searching for answers, India’s ancient Rishis had already laid the foundations of modern science. From gravity to aviation, from medicine to astronomy our sages envisioned it all.
🧵#Thread Let’s uncover this forgotten brilliance.👇Image
2. Bhaskaracharya – Gravity (Gurutvaakarshan)
Centuries before Newton, Bhaskaracharya explained the concept of gravity in Surya Siddhanta. He described how objects are pulled towards Earth’s center. True genius, far ahead of time.
3. Acharya Kanada – Atom Theory (Anu & Paramanu)
Long before Dalton, Acharya Kanada spoke of indivisible particles -Anu (atom) & Paramanu (sub-atomic). He founded the Vaisheshika school, pioneering atomic science thousands of years ago.

Have you noticed a tortoise carved in front of many Hindu deities in temples?
It’s not just decoration.
It holds one of the deepest spiritual lessons from the Bhagavad Gita & nature itself.
🧵#Thread Let’s uncover this ancient symbolism.👇 Image
2. In nature, the tortoise hatches eggs in a peculiar way.
She doesn’t sit on them.
Instead, she constantly gazes at them with steady focus until they hatch.
A lesson in attention & concentration.
3. Similarly, when we enter a temple…
We are reminded to withdraw from worldly thoughts and focus only on the deity within.
Just as the tortoise nurtures life with unwavering attention,
We nurture our soul through unwavering devotion.
