Thread 🧵, In response to MP Srinagar @RuhullahMehdi ’s claim that the Jammu-Srinagar highway closure is “a deliberate #War on #Kashmir’s economy”
This claim is misleading and ignores the ground realities ❌
Here are the facts ⬇️
Why the Highway Was Closed?
The Jammu–Srinagar NH-44 was blocked due to massive landslides and flash floods—a natural calamity beyond human control.
Movement of trucks carrying apples and other goods was halted only to ensure public safety. Unfortunately, hundreds of apple trucks got stranded, leading to rotting consignments and financial losses for growers. (2/6)
Government Intervention for Apple Transport:
For the first time in history, apples from Kashmir are being loaded directly onto special parcel trains from Budgam to Delhi and other mandis.
This daily train service, launched by the Union Railway Ministry, was specifically introduced to minimize losses and ensure uninterrupted supply despite roadblocks. (3/6)
Govt efforts to restore connectivity:
Meanwhile, authorities are working round-the-clock to clear landslides & repair damaged stretches at Udhampur, Nashri, Banihal etc.
Departments have been instructed to prioritise movement of fruit trucks and Alternate routes like Mughal Road are also being pushed for smoother apple transportation. (4/6)
This is not a “Deliberate War” on Kashmir’s economy, but a crisis caused by natural disasters. The administration is actively mitigating disruptions with alternate logistics, emergency measures, and infrastructure repair. (5/6)
Public representatives must present facts responsibly. Misleading narratives only spread fear. What Kashmir needs today is resilience, cooperation, and real solutions for farmers and traders not divisive rhetoric.

🚨 Rebuttal: @trtworld ’s recent article on #Kashmir presents a misleading narrative. It omits critical facts & context.
Here are the facts that need to be set straight ⬇️
Misrepresentation of Identity: Not Civilians, but Armed Terrorists:
TRT refers Terrorists as “Young Men”
-a misleading portrayal that obscures the fact that they were active terrorists, affiliated with proscribed terror groups such as LeT, JeM & HM.
Security forces consistently offer multiple opportunities to surrender during anti-terror ops, and in these cases, most refused. (2/n)
Why Are Bodies Not Handed Over to Families?
Refusal to hand over bodies is not cruel, but rather a calibrated security measure. In the past, funerals of terrorists in #Kashmir often turned into massive gatherings, which:
A social media narrative has emerged alleging that the Government of India is attempting to “erase the history and identity of #Kashmir” by banning 25 books.
Here's what the narrative doesn’t tell you.
Let’s break it down ⬇️
First, let’s be clear:
This is NOT censorship.
This is a necessary national security move against a coordinated information war targeting India's sovereignty, identity & democratic legitimacy, disguised as “academic freedom.” (2/n)
The Reality: Narrative Warfare Against India:
These books are not merely controversial, they are weapons of information warfare, designed to delegitimize Indian sovereignty, sow discord, and undermine public trust in the Indian State.
Many of these books actively:
• Glorify militancy as "freedom struggle"
• Vilify Indian forces
• Whitewash terrorism
• Call for Kashmir's independence
• Undermine Indian sovereignty & the Constitution (3/n)
From Conflict to Peace & Prosperity: How Article 370’s Abrogation Transformed Jammu and #Kashmir -🧵
Comparative Report: 2013–2018 vs 2019–2025
On 5 August 2019, the Govt of India abrogated #Article370 & 35A, fully integrating the erstwhile state into the Indian Union.
The move was widely debated. Pakistan, through ISI-sponsored propaganda, portrayed it as a step that “worsened” the lives of Kashmiri people.
However, 5 years later, evidence shows substantial improvements in security, governance, economy, and social indicators in J&K. (2/n)
This report compares the post-abrogation period (2019–2025) with the previous 6 years (2013–2018), highlighting key changes with facts and figures. (3/n)
Every day, journalists & activists share documentaries & articles on social media highlighting the growing drug abuse in #Kashmir. Yet, sadly, no one dares to ask: who is behind it? 1/11
A Narrative of Lies:
For years now, a narrative has been carefully cultivated by Pakistan and secessionists to suggest that “India itself is “flooding” Kashmir with narcotics in order to cripple its youth.” 2/11
The facts tell a very different story:
Narco-terrorism is a global tactic, and in Kashmir, Pakistan has perfected it. In fact, there is ample evidence that it is the Pakistani military establishment that has long used narcotics as a tool of hybrid warfare — both to finance terrorism and to destroy the social fabric of Kashmir by addicting its youth. 3/11
Ghulam Nabi Fai- a US citizen of Kashmiri origin and a convicted ISI agent — actively lobbies against India to influence US policy on Kashmir.
This report exposes Fai’s ISI connections and his involvement with K secessionist networks.🧵
Ghulam Nabi Fai was exposed and convicted for secretly receiving funds from Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI. 2/18
His objective was clear:
-Influence U.S. policy on Kashmir,
-Propagate a false narrative against India through lobbying, misinformation, and coordination with other diaspora-based anti-India networks. 3/18
Unveiling the Psy-Ops of Pakistan following #PahalgamTerrorAttack
🚨 Massive psychological warfare & disinformation campaigns has been launched against India by Pakistani establishment, Western Experts & Kashmir Conflict Entrepreneurs in the aftermath of #PahagamAttack🧵1/11
In this brief thread, we’ll expose the pattern of Pakistan’s psychological warfare & disinformation campaign against India following the Pahalgam Attack- This Psy-war is being driven by 3 key groups:
1) Pakistani establishment 2) Western Experts & Media outlets 3) Kashmir Conflict Entrepreneurs
2/11
1: Pakistan establishment: Pakistan has a history of using the strategy of blaming Indian forces for every civilian killing in Kashmir since it had started its proxy war in Kashmir.
Pakistan has consistently resorted to disinformation campaigns in the name of Kashmir.
