BREAKING: A bombshell new 200-page report exposes how Hamas terror chiefs seized control of the UNRWA school system responsible for educating hundreds of thousands of children in Gaza and Lebanon.

The UN knew about this scandal — and did nothing.

Here are the highlights: 🧵Image
2/ UNRWA runs a vast network of schools for 500,000 Palestinian students.

It raises $1+ billion each year from Western states with a promise to teach these children peace and tolerance.

In reality, UNRWA handed the children over to violent terror groups like Hamas and PIJ. Image
3/ While UNRWA’s international staff — such as former chief Pierre Krähenbühl & successor Philippe Lazzarini — serve as its public face, the real power lies with local staff who make up 99% of UNRWA's 30,000 employees.

They run the education system & staff unions on the ground. Image
4/ UN Watch's new report details how Hamas leaders exploited this system to seize control of key positions in UNRWA.

The report also exposes how UNRWA repeatedly failed to remove these Hamas chiefs from key roles in the agency, even as they publicly flaunted their terror ties. Image
5/ Part I of the report focuses on the takeover of UNRWA in Gaza.

Meet Suhail Al-Hindi.

He was involved in Hamas’s founding in 1987.

He started teaching at UNRWA three years later.

By 2006, he was both Head of UNRWA's Staff Union in Gaza and a member of the Hamas Politburo. Image
6/ Despite appearing on platforms with Hamas leaders, including Ismail Haniyeh, in a blatant violation of neutrality rules, UNRWA did not fire Al-Hindi.

Hamas's massive support base in the UNRWA staff unions made sure of that.

However, UNRWA cannot say they did not know... Image
7/ After resigning from UNRWA in 2017, Al-Hindi retained both his pension and his power over UNRWA.

He continued to head the Gaza Professional Unions Assembly overseeing all professional unions, including those of UNRWA. Image
8/ He also held sway over his successors at UNRWA.

At Al-Hindi’s retirement ceremony, his successor — Amir Al-Mishal — vowed to continue his legacy, pledging to Al-Hindi “to be a strong shield for your just causes.”

In other words: Al-Mishal pledged allegiance to Hamas. Image
9/ Al-Hindi is not a marginal figure in Hamas.

After revealing himself as a Hamas terror chief, he headed Hamas’s “March of Return” committee, organizing weekly violent riots on the Israeli border in 2018-19 to test Israel’s defenses in preparation for the October 7th attacks. Image
10/ Since October 7th, he has emerged as a key Hamas spokesperson, ceasefire negotiator and terrorist recruiter.

Just this month, the former UNRWA principal was with other Hamas leaders in Qatar to meet with officials from their main backer, the Iranian regime. Image
11/ Next up is Lebanon.

Meet Fateh Sharif.

He was both the Head of UNRWA's Teachers’ Union and Hamas's leader in the country.

This was confirmed by Hamas itself, which eulogized him after he was killed in September 2024 in a precision strike by the IDF. Image
Image
12/ Sharif never hid his terror ties — even from UNRWA's international leadership.

In November 2023, at an event with UNRWA Lebanon Director Dorothee Klaus, Sharif proclaimed his support for “the resistance.”

She said nothing.
13/ After he was killed, Hamas TV released a tribute video showing Sharif with Ismail Haniyeh, and showing Sharif leading students from an UNRWA school into a Hamas rally.

Sharif's Hamas ties were out in the open, yet UNRWA never fired him — and he died a UN employee.
14/ Sharif made sure his successors at UNRWA would continue in his path.

UN Watch documents numerous UNRWA employees in Lebanon with terror ties, including Sharif's replacement as Head of the Teachers’ Union, Ibrahim Merie, who praised Sharif as an “example and role model.” Image
15/ However, the UN refused to take responsibility.

After Hamas eulogized Sharif as their leader in Lebanon, a UN spokesman said:

“Most people who are engaged in underground organizations try not to have their involvement known publicly.”

Our report shows otherwise.
16/ Despite evidence of UNRWA's terror ties, Western countries continue to send UNRWA millions of dollars.

In 2024:
🇩🇪 = $173 mil
🇪🇺 = $153 mil
🇬🇧 = $59 mil
🇳🇴 = $52 mil
🇫🇷 = $42 mil
🇨🇦 = $37 mil

Donor states must confront the reality that they are financing terror by proxy. Image
17/ Our report shows that this is not a matter of isolated neutrality breaches. It's systemic.

Hamas captured UNRWA’s staff unions, schools and local leadership, turning a humanitarian agency into a conveyor belt for indoctrination, recruitment and terror.

This has to stop. Image

And now: The Top 10 Worst U.N. Moments of 2025

1. Saudi Arabia Chairs UN Women’s Rights Commission

Despite its abysmal record on women’s rights, the UN elected Saudi Arabia as Chair of its “global body for gender equality and the empowerment of women.”

Represented by Abdulaziz Alwasil, a regime official having no credentials as a women's rights activist, Saudi Arabia presided over the 2025 session of the UN Commission on the Status of Women. The desert monarchy still subjects women to legal discrimination including male guardianship controls.

London’s Spectator reported: “As the superb organization UN Watch points out, the UN Commission on the Status of Women has never passed a single resolution regarding Saudi Arabia’s treatment of women — and now, grotesquely, has rewarded it with the chair.”

Hillel Neuer was quoted by Women’s Agenda magazine: “By elevating a misogynistic regime to its highest women’s rights body, the UN betrays millions of female victims, in Saudi Arabia and worldwide.” womensagenda.com.au/latest/its-sur…Image
2. UN Launches Day to Defend Dictatorships, Framing Western Sanctions as Illegal

At the initiative of China, Cuba, Iran, and other authoritarian regimes, the United Nations on December 4, 2025 launched its new “International Day Against Unilateral Coercive Measures,” branding Western sanctions on tyrannies as violations of international law.
x.com/HillelNeuer/st…

The new annual event will boost an anti-Western narrative at the UN that is designed to shield the world’s worst human rights abusers from accountability. The campaign is driven by UN Special Rapporteur Alena Douhan of Belarus, who has used her mandate to promote the talking points of sanctioned regimes. x.com/HillelNeuer/st…

Outrageously, Annalena Baerbock, the President of the UN General Assembly who until recently was Germany’s foreign minister,  also joined the jackals. “Unilateral coercive measures imposed by a single State are in contravention of international law,” said Baerbock. Her opening remarks at the UN's Orwellian event effectively condemned U.S. sanctions on Sudanese genocide commanders, Russian war financiers, and Chinese officials who run Uyghur prison camps, as “unlawful coercion.”Image
3. UN's Anti-Western Rapporteur Received $1.3 Million From China, Qatar, Russia

UN Special Rapporteur Alena Douhan, who was installed by the UN Human Rights Council to go after Western countries for sanctioning dictatorships, received over $1.3 million from China, Qatar, and Russia, revealed Hillel Neuer when he confronted her in a dramatic UN debate. In response, the UN chair rebuked Neuer for “personal attacks.” Cuba joined in, accusing UN Watch of “offensive, out-of-order, politicized comments.”

UN Watch then exposed in detail the moral and financial corruption of Douhan's Orwellian UN mandate, including her propaganda trips to Iran, China, Syria, Qatar, Venezuela, Zimbabwe, and, most recently, Cuba: nationalpost.com/opinion/un-pro…

BREAKING: UN names UNRWA's ex-Lebanon Director Claudio Cordone as Deputy Special Envoy for Syria.

Here's Cordone—who once also headed Amnesty International—giving an award to Lebanon's Hamas terror chief Fateh Sharif, an UNRWA educator by day who oversaw 2,000 UNRWA teachers. Image
2/ Claudio Cordone: “UNRWA expresses its deep appreciation to Fateh Sharif for his contribution in enhancing the school community to guarantee a better future for Palestine refugee children.”

Hamas: “Fateh Sharif fought as a martyr, and gave Jihadi education to the children.”
3/ UNRWA Lebanon chief @claudio_cordone with Islamic Jihad and other terror chiefs like Ali Baraka, one of only a handful of top Hamas terrorists to be indicted by the U.S. for “heinous crimes.” He managed Hamas ties with Tehran and was deeply involved in Hamas terror operations Image

The U.N. Human Rights Council was created to protect human rights & fundamental freedoms for all.

Instead, dictatorships hijacked the Council & turned it into an Orwellian nightmare.

As its 60th Session opens today in Geneva, here are 7 problems with this major U.N. body: 🧵 Image
1. The Council is obsessed with demonizing Israel.

Every session of the Human Rights Council features a standing agenda item targeting Israel: Item 7.

No other country—not Iran, Russia, nor North Korea—is singled out in this way.

See more on Item 7: unwatch.org/item7/
2. The Council grants abusive regimes impunity.

The Council has adopted zero resolutions on human rights abuses perpetrated by repressive regimes, including:
🇨🇺 Cuba
🇶🇦 Qatar
🇨🇳 China
🇹🇷 Turkey
🇵🇰 Pakistan
🇿🇼 Zimbabwe
🇸🇦 Saudi Arabia

The UN Security Council is due to vote on renewing the mandate of UN peacekeepers in Lebanon.

The 🇺🇸 U.S. has branded UNIFIL an “abject failure” and reportedly wants it shut down, while 🇫🇷 France is pushing to prolong it.

Here's what you need to know: 🧵 Image
2/ UNIFIL was established in 1978, but after the 2006 war between Israel and the Hezbollah terrorist organization in Lebanon, the UN Security Council strengthened UNIFIL’s mandate.

UNIFIL was entrusted with overseeing Hezbollah’s disarmament and withdrawal from southern Lebanon. Image
3/ Instead, the opposite happened.

Hezbollah — with the help of its Iranian patrons — methodically built up a massive network of tunnels, arms and attack infrastructure inside UNIFIL’s area of responsibility in southern Lebanon.

Don’t be fooled by UNRWA’s lies.

On X, they claim to show you “how #UNRWAworks.”

But they never show you how UNRWA employs terrorists, incites hatred, and prolongs the conflict.

This is how UNRWA really works:🧵 Image
2/ UNRWA was created to help refugees from the 1948 Arab-Israeli war.

It had a noble goal: provide food, medical care, and housing to displaced people so they could rebuild their lives.

But the UN agency quickly lost its way. Image
3/ Arab leaders refused to accept that their war on Israel was over—and hijacked UNRWA to convey this message.

Instead of helping refugees and their descendants build new lives, UNRWA told them: “You are still refugees—and one day you’ll return to destroy the State of Israel.” Image
