Murdered? Yes. Martyred? Even more so.

A commonality among many people who have had near-death experiences, or NDE’s, is that after claiming to have had a vivid encounter with Jesus, they all wanted to stay with Him and not return to their earthly bodies and their day-to-day existence on this side of the Veil. The above Scripture verse supports their reluctance to want to return to life on this planet, with all its trials, tribulations and triumphs.
I confess that when I heard that Charlie Kirk had been shot, it was almost bedtime for me in Central Europe. I immediately prayed for God’s Healing Hand to touch and restore him and went to sleep. The next morning when I opened up messenger, I saw a message from my son Erik that Charlie Kirk was dead. I simply couldn’t believe it and was surprised at how hard it hit me but it most certainly did! I spent the whole day trying to process the shocking news and I thought of his poor family, especially his wife Erika. I can’t even pretend to describe just how devastating it must have been for her to lose the love of her life to an assassin’s bullet. He was only 31 - how unfair is that?!?!? And those poor young children of theirs won’t have Daddy coming home through the front door anymore. 😢
I’m persuaded that our view of death is RADICALLY different than God’s. He sees the BIG picture of eternity because He exists outside of the constraints of time. God IS from EVERLASTING to EVERLASTING Perfect and Sovereign and that’s something that we’ll never even be able to wrap our heads around on this side of eternity - and perhaps not even in the next life, but that’s mere conjecture on my part. At any rate, human understanding of “time” is extremely limited and I’m sure that when God created us, He knew that our basic understanding of time was all we could handle during the days we walk the earth, enjoying the precious gift of life and trying to solve its many mysteries and wonders.
From a purely human perspective, Charlie Kirk’s death was needless, useless…and beyond tragic, though God probably has a different view. God IS STILL in control and Jesus IS STILL sitting on The Throne. However, I, like many other millions of people, am still asking “Why, Lord?” I saw a meme of Charlie Kirk dressed up like Obi-Wan Kenobi in the initial Star Wars trilogy, with the words “If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you can possibly imagine.” People who think that taking out this one man was going to stop the movement he started don’t understand the Power of Almighty God. We will NOT be intimidated.
Of course, God knew this was going to happen. Charlie was a courageous and passionate voice to a younger generation that probably needs a good reminder of something called “healthy debate”. We’re not all going to have the same exact opinion all the time, but there’s certainly nothing wrong with a friendly exchange of ideas - however diametrically opposed they may be from one another. Today’s society has unlearned that. I remember schools having debate teams when I was growing up. Today? Maybe it’s become more of a yesteryear concept and it’s horrible to even entertain the notion.
Recently, Tucker Carlson astutely said that the dividing line in today’s society is “Does God exist or are you God?” Bingo! We are in a true spiritual war - (Ephesians 6:12) The Left was against Charlie Kirk because he didn’t agree with their evil agenda and even called them out on it on numerous occasions. 👏👏👏

I read a comment on a thread of a post that maintained that the D party has become the party of Satan. Sadly, I’m inclined to agree. The disdain they harbor for America and their unholy, unwholesome and unrighteous position on a number of issues important in a normal-functioning and even thriving society is both shameful and appalling. I even read that a request for a moment of silence in Congress to honor Charlie’s memory was denied by the D’s! 😮 Who in the world are these people anyway?!? The following Bible verse comes to mind:

Unless they truly repent, these people are lost and hopeless without Christ’s Redemption. These reprobates will be among the first to embrace the antichrist and even do his bidding. They will unabashedly take the mark of the beast, thus sealing their dreadful fate forever - outside the Love of Almighty God - in a place of never-ending torment and gnashing of teeth. Do I wish that on them? No, not one iota, but in the end they will be in a place of indescribable suffering which will ultimately be of their own choosing.
Jesus just weeps for these lost souls but everyone has been given a free will to accept or reject God and His Amazing Grace in the sacrifice, death and glorious Resurrection of His Only Begotten Son. Jesus didn’t have to go to the Cross but He chose to in order to buy us back to God. He died as a ransom for the sinful nature that separates us from God’s Forgiveness. The Holy Spirit pleads with us to put our faith, hope and trust in Jesus and to receive eternal life with God. The human soul lives on forever but it’s for each one of us to decide where we want to end up.
I believe in my heart of hearts that God will take what the Devil meant for evil and turn it into something mind-blowing for the Body of Christ. Hopefully this will spark a HUGE revival both inside and outside the Church. And guys like Ben Shapiro would do well to consider Christ a lot more seriously. I also believe that God will raise up other voices to proclaim Him and to fight for Christian family values in a society that’s hemorrhaging any semblance of reason and sanity at an alarming rate among a sizable segment of the population. Our society is now making a concerted effort to push people away from God and most of the mainstream media is being used for very nefarious purposes. Welcome to the end times. Jesus is coming soon. The Godless and irreverent think that they can force God from the public forum but God will have the Final Say about that!!!

Be in prayer and read God’s Word on a daily basis. Only God will be able to give us the necessary strength to endure what promises to be more difficult times ahead.
So, while we mourn the loss of a great American patriot and a committed Christian and family man, we can take solace in the fact that Charlie Kirk, our dear brother in Christ, is “skying” in The Very Loving Arms of Jesus our Savior. Meanwhile, God has BIG plans for His people and, honesty, I believe that we are not long for this wayward world anyway. The Trumpet may sound sooner than we think and we need to be about our Father’s Business. If you think the world is crazy now, you can be sure that it’ll wax increasingly darker and horrifying after the sanctified Church is gone. People like Charlie Kirk’s assassin will be a dime a dozen and bedlam and pandemonium will reign in an unprecedented wave of terror.
Pray for strength and the willingness to be used by God and pray for Charlie’s family. Charlie ran the race and influenced thousands and even tens of thousands of people along the way. He greatly impacted a generation. Now he’s Home and that’s the Hope we have in Christ Jesus.
“Precious [and of great consequence] in the sight of the Lord Is the death of His godly ones [so He watches over them].”
Psalms 116:15 AMP
I firmly believe the above Scripture verse even now, but God in His Infinite Wisdom knows when it’s time to call someone Home, especially when it serves His Noble Purposes under Heaven. For those of us still here? We need to put our hands to the plow and keep going forward, asking God to use us and give us a servant’s heart.
“Whatever you do [whatever your task may be], work from the soul [that is, put in your very best effort], as [something done] for the Lord and not for men,”
