AOC called Charlie Kirk’s rhetoric ignorant, while making an ignorant statement.

She also misrepresented what Charlie said about the Civil Rights Act.

We can’t keep doing this - it’s putting people in danger.
We can’t keep letting lies, half-truths, and out-of-context clips endanger people who are speaking freely.

It’s not enough to just know manipulation exists.

We need to understand exactly how it works.

The mechanics, the patterns, the playbook.

I break down these manipulation tactics in my newsletter so you can spot them before they fool you.

Also, if you want to be part of the solution, join Clear Thinker Academy.

We meet live to do deep dives on specific manipulation tactics and equip members with tools to protect themselves.

It’s also a discussion forum and sane space for non-partisan exploration of these issues.

We had our first call Wednesday and it was a hit.

The reason these conversations always devolve into shouting matches?

Most people can’t separate emotion from logic.

If you’re tired of division on every racial issue, my Substack is where we think through these topics without the tribalism.

Thatskaizen.substack.com
Obviously, all racism is irrational.

In this particular clip, I’m talking about anti-white racism, which I think is disproportionately under-discussed.

And hurts everyone, because it perpetuates the pendulum swing of resentment between groups.

I went to the LA protest against ICE deportations. Here’s some of what I saw.
To be clear: I went to a planned protest on Jan 8. While I was there I didn’t see any violence.

I know other protests in other places got violent. Perhaps this one got violent after I left.

I’m just sharing this because I found it interesting.

Will share my opinion tomorrow.
Join the Nuanced mailing list for thoughts on why the Right and Left can’t agree on illegal immigration, Marxist vs Fascist accusations, and what I’ve observed at rallies/protests on the Right vs Left.

A thread on why you shouldn’t take personal attacks personally ⬇️ Image
This is the cost of being courageous.

People will attack you.

They’ll dehumanize you.

They’ll call you names. They’ll discredit you because you’re you.

People who look like you will exclude you. People who don’t look like you will exclude you too.

They won‘t register you as human.
You must learn to not take it personally, even when they make it personal.

Because it’s not about you.

It’s a reflection of how they feel inside. Some of them are angry at life, and take it out on you. Others are in pain, and want you to feel it too. Some hate a part of themselves, and are imparting that onto you.

All of them are emotional, and looking for an outlet for their energy.

And that’s OK.

You don't have to like how Trump handled this, but don’t buy into the story that he ambushed Zelensky.
If you have audio issues, you can watch here too:

I'll also post an unlisted version (out of respect to the creator) on YouTube with easily clickable timestamps later today
Sorry for the audio issues all. I've uploaded it again here with timestamps:
